    Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters after Saturday’s loss to the Blue Jays that X-rays on the injured right hand of superstar outfielder Juan Soto came back negative for any fractures.

    Advice: The 25-year-old superstar injured himself while sliding headfirst into home plate during Friday’s battle against the Jays. The team has an off-day on Monday, so it seems very likely that he’ll rest again on Sunday before hopefully being able to return to the Bombers’ lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Reds.     Nestor Cortes allowed three runs with five strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

    Advice: The Blue Jays got to Cortes right away as Vladimir Guerrero Jr. took him deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. Alejandro Kirk drove in a third run with a double in the fourth inning. Cortes put runners on the corners with one out in the fifth before his day was done at 87 pitches. He struck out five.
