• Still out of lineup
Lowe (toe) isn't in the starting nine for Tuesday's game against Seattle.

Advice: Lowe will be on the bench for the third consecutive game after suffering a broken right pinky toe Saturday. While he's expected to avoid the IL and was available to pinch hit Sunday, it's slightly concerning he hasn't appeared since sustaining the injury. Jose Caballero will bat third and play second base Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:31 pm

  • Brandon Lowe out again Tuesday with toe injury
Brandon Lowe (toe) is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mariners.

Advice: Lowe suffered a broken pinkie toe Saturday, and hasn’t been able to play since. The 29-year-old will remain on the bench with Jose Caballero getting the start at second base and Taylor Walls starting at shortstop. Rotoworld Today, 12:22 pm

  • Held out again Monday
Lowe (toe) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Lowe suffered a fractured right pinky toe when he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates. While the plan is for him to attempt to play through the injury, Lowe has now missed two straight starts. Richie Palacios will again handle second base while Lowe stays off his feet. • Provides offense Sunday
Morel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Morel provided all of Chicago's offense with his 15th home run of the season in the seventh inning. The 24-year-old has hit 15 or more homers in each of his three MLB seasons to date, including a career high 26 long balls last year in 107 games. Assuming he stays healthy, Morel could surpass that figure in 2024 as the team is still a few games shy of the season's midpoint. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:27 pm

  • Christopher Morel slugs two-run homer in loss
Christopher Morel slugged a two-run homer on Sunday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Cubs past the Mets.

Advice: The Cubs weren’t able to get anything going over six innings against Luis Severino, but they started to battle back as soon as he exited. Morel finally got them on the board with a 420-foot (106.9 mph EV) two-run blast off of Dedniel Nunez in the seventh inning. The 24-year-old slugger finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .203/.304/.395 with 15 homers, 45 RBI and seven stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 7:21 pm

  • Sitting Sunday
Lowe (toe) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will sit for the series finale Sunday after sustaining a broken pinky toe on a hit-by-pitch in the first inning of Saturday's 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh. Lowe isn't expected to be placed on the IL and will be available to pinch hit Sunday, per Topkin. Richie Palacios will start at second base Sunday and bat fifth against Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:18 am

  • Brandon Lowe sitting out Sunday with fractured toe
Brandon Lowe is not in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates.

Advice: The positive news here is that Lowe hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet after suffering a fractured right pinky toe during Saturday’s game when he was hit by a pitch. The 29-year-old second baseman is day-to-day for now. There should be some clarity on his status in a couple days, if not sooner, depending on whether he’s feeling well enough to return. • Ninth-inning grand slam in loss
Turang went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Padres.

Advice: Turang reached base four times in the contest, topping things off with a ninth-inning grand slam to bring Milwaukee back within two runs of the Padres. The grand slam was the second of his career, and he's now collected at least one RBI in three consecutive games. Turang has also recorded multiple hits in three straight and is now batting .296 on the campaign with five homers, 31 RBI and 26 stolen bases. Perhaps the only downside is that he's been caught stealing in each of his last three attempts, including twice Saturday. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:36 am
