• Racks up three hits in loss
Witt went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Though the Royals got trounced as a team, Witt showed off his potent bat with his seventh multi-hit effort over a hitting streak that has reached 13 games. The talented shortstop is batting an eye-opening .414 (24-for-58) during that stretch, raising his season batting average to .326, narrowly behind Luis Arraez for the best mark in the majors. Witt has been among fantasy's top performers this season, complementing the impressive batting average with 11 homers, 50 RBI, 58 runs and 19 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Today, 12:01 am
  • Swipes 13th bag
Volpe went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base Wednesday against Kansas City in an 11-5 victory.

Advice: Volpe led off the game with a single and then stole second base before later coming around to score. The theft was his 13th of the campaign, pushing him past the halfway point as he seeks to surpass last season's total of 24 steals. Volpe has reached base at a much higher clip this season -- he's currently posting a .335 OBP compared to last year's .283 mark. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:56 pm
  • Slugs three-run homer
Trevino went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in an 11-5 win against the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Trevino capped a huge first inning for the Yankees with his three-run blast that made the score 6-0. It was the backstop's first homer since May 18 and ended a stretch of 13 games without any extra-base hits. Trevino has been pretty solid offensively overall this season, though, slashing .272/.321/.416 with six homers, 23 RBI and 17 runs through 138 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:52 pm
  • Goes deep in rout
Torres went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional run and a walk Wednesday in an 11-5 victory against Kansas City.

Advice: Torres further busted open the game for the Yankees with a three-run shot off Daniel Lynch in the seventh inning. The long ball was his second in June and his sixth overall this season. Four of the long balls have come over his past 21 contests after Torres went deep just twice over his initial 49 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:47 pm
  • Homers in second straight game
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run Wednesday in an 11-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Stanton flexed his power with a 449-foot two-run blast in the fifth inning. It was his second straight game with a home run after an ugly weekend set against the Dodgers during which he went 0-for-14 with seven punchouts. Stanton is up to 17 homers and 40 RBI on the campaign along with a .233/.288/.491 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:42 pm
  • Surrenders six runs in bulk relief
Lynch did not factor in the decision against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three batters over 6.2 innings.

Advice: Dan Altavilla was tabbed to serve as Kansas City's opener Wednesday, but he got only one out while allowing five batters to reach base. Lynch therefore entered in the first frame and immediately yielded a sacrifice fly before Jose Trevino slugged a three-run homer against him. The left-hander went on to allow two more long balls -- one each to Giancarlo Stanton and Gleyber Torres -- and six total runs were charged to his ledger. Lynch at least managed to eat up innings, as the 6.2 frames were his most so far this season, but he's now allowed 14 runs over his past 10.2 innings and has an ugly 6.35 ERA on the campaign. It's unclear if he'll go back to working as a traditional starter or continue to pitch behind an opener moving forward, but either way there's a good chance he'll fall out of the rotation when Michael Wacha (foot) is ready to return. • Goes 5.1 frames in victory
Poteet (3-0) earned the win over Kansas City on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two batters over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Poteet was staked to a 6-0 lead after one inning and cruised through five scoreless frames before the Royals scored their first two runs in the sixth. The right-hander had plenty of cushion at that point and ended up with his third victory across four starts. Poteet has completed six innings just once in those outings, but he's put up a great 2.14 ERA and 1.05 WHIP despite a not-so-great 13:7 K:BB over 21 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:30 pm
  • Notches first steal of season
Donovan went 2-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Donovan extended his hitting streak to seven games. He's gone 9-for-27 (.333) in that span, but just one of those hits has gone for extra bases. The 27-year-old's steal Wednesday was his first of the season, though he's not much of a speed threat after logging just five thefts in 95 games a year ago. Donovan is up to a .247/.322/.368 slash line with four home runs, 28 RBI, 30 runs scored, 15 doubles and one triple over 270 plate appearances this season. He spent much of the first two months of the season batting leadoff versus right-handed pitchers, but Masyn Winn is now atop the order on a near-everyday basis, having hit there in all but two of 11 games in June. Donovan has hit no higher than sixth over the last week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:23 pm
  • Gets on base four times
Soler went 2-for-2 with two walks and one run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Astros.

Advice: Soler has found some success at the plate in June, going 11-for-37 (.297) over 10 contests this month. He's also drawn four walks over his last three games, though his 9.6 percent walk rate is still his lowest since 2015. While it's good to see the designated hitter make more consistent contact, he's still struggling to hit for power. He's batting .217 with a .661 OPS, seven home runs, 18 RBI, 26 runs scored, nine doubles and no stolen bases over 56 games this season. Soler's lowest OPS in a season is .503 in 2017, but he played in just 35 games that year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:18 pm
