    • Returned to Charlotte
The White Sox returned Anderson to Triple-A Charlotte after Tuesday's doubleheader against Washington.

Advice: Anderson pitched a scoreless inning during the first game of the twin bill, giving up one walk while punching out two batters. He owns a 2.81 ERA and 1.06 WHIP across 16 frames in Triple-A, and he could return to the majors later this year if Chicago's bullpen depth is tested further. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Stanton hits ninth homer of year vs. Twins
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton hit his ninth homer of the season in the third inning when he took Chris Paddack deep for a solo blast, giving the Yankees a 3-1 lead. A true feast-or-famine player at this stage of his career, Stanton is still good for the occasional homer and has plenty of opportunities to drive in runs batting in the middle of a potent lineup, but shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a desperation play as far as fantasy is concerned. • Anthony Volpe doubles, drives in one vs. Twins
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Volpe doubled in the second inning to drive home Gleyber Torres, giving the Yankees their second run of the inning and an early 2-1 lead. Volpe pushed his current hitting streak to seven games in this one and is now slashing .265/.333/.469 for the month of May. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago
    • Romy Gonzalez has game-winning single vs Rays
Romy Gonzalez had a game-winning single in the 12th inning to carry the Red Sox to a 5-4 win over the Rays.

Advice: Gonzalez had entered as a pinch runner for Dominic Smith in the 10th inning and got his first at-bat in the 12th when he laced what would have been a double down the first base line for the game-winning hit. The versatile infielder had started four of five games since coming off the IL, going 4-for-14 with one run and two SBs heading into Tuesday night. His ability to play all over the diamond will keep him in the lineup semi-regularly in the coming weeks. That could make him useful in AL-only formats. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago
    • Jeffers’ homer gives Twins lone run vs. Yankees
Ryan Jeffers went 1-for-4 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Carlos Rodón’s second pitch of the evening was sent 429 feet into the left field stands by Jeffers, who got the scoring started with a leadoff homer. It was Jeffers’ 10th home run of the season, as he’s well on pace to top his previous career high of 14 before the all-star break. Jeffers is now slashing .278/.308/.806 in the month of May with five homers and 13 RBI. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago
    • Rhys Hoskins out 2-4 weeks with hamstring strain
Rhys Hoskins will miss 2-4 weeks with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The timetable comes from Brewers manager Pat Murphy just a few hours after Hoskins landed on the injured list prior to Tuesday’s showdown against the Pirates. It sounds like an MRI on the 31-year-old first baseman’s hamstring revealed merely a low-grade strain. There’s a chance he’s back at some point in early-to-mid June, barring any setbacks. • Josh Lowe has two hits, HR vs Red Sox
Josh Lowe went 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: In the first inning, Lowe took Pivetta deep 385 feet on a ball that left the bat at 107 mph. It was the 26-year-old’s first home run of the season, and he’s now slashing .320/.360/.600 in seven games since coming off the IL. The Rays continue to hit him in the middle of the lineup, and he should be in for another big season if he can stay healthy. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
    • Paddack allows 12 hits, five earned runs vs. Yanks
Chris Paddack allowed 12 hits and five earned runs over five innings in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Paddack struggled in the second inning of this one, allowing four hits and two runs before retiring Juan Soto and Aaron Judge to end the inning. He’d give up a solo homer to Giancarlo Stanton in the third inning and was pulled after the fifth inning and 95 pitches. Paddack tied a season-high with 12 hits allowed in this one and saw his WHIP rise to 1.65. His next start is slated to come on Sunday against the Guardians. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

    • Civale doesn’t miss bats in no-decision vs BOS
Aaron Civale allowed three runs on five hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Civale also struck out six and walked nobody on the night. However, he did allow seven hard-hit baseballs, including a home run to Ceddanne Rafaela, and posted a minuscule five percent walk rate. Yes, Civale got just two whiffs on 37 swings all evening. It’s hard to get overly excited about the strikeouts when he’s unable to get swings and misses. Overall, the season has been a disappointment for Civale. The right-hander has a 5.83 ERA and is not longer much more than a streamer at this point. It’s hard to trust him against the Blue Jays this weekend. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago
