    • Pirates remove Grant Koch from 40-man roster
Pirates designated C Grant Koch for assignment.

Advice: Koch is removed from the active and 40-man roster to make room for Ben Heller and Henry Davis, respectively. Koch will hit the waiver wire, and if he goes unclaimed, he’s likely back in Triple-A Indianapolis as organizational filler. Rotoworld Today, 11:48 am

    • Pirates officially recall Henry Davis from Triple-A
Pirates recalled C Henry Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Advice: Davis is officially up from Triple-A and will catch Tuesday. The first-overall pick of the 2021 draft has struggled against MLB pitching, but at the age of 24, there’s time for him to turn things around. Fantasy managers should wait and see how he goes about doing that before adding him to their respective rosters. Rotoworld Today, 11:44 am

    • Red Sox recall Tyler Heineman from Triple-A
Red Sox recalled C Tyler Heneman from Triple-A Worcester.

Advice: Heineman is up to replace Wilyer Abreu after Abreu was placed on the 10-day injured list with an ankle sprain. Heineman will be a bench option while he’s with the Red Sox. Rotoworld Today, 11:42 am

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Melendez is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Melendez will get the day off Tuesday after making five consecutive starts in left for the Royals. Instead, Adam Frazier will fill left field and bat seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 11:36 am

    • Recalled from Triple-A
The Red Sox recalled Heineman from Triple-A Worcester on Tuesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: It's not yet clear what the corresponding transaction will be. Heineman, 32, had one brief stint with the Red Sox earlier this season, receiving one plate appearance. The catcher has a career .580 OPS over parts of five seasons at the major-league level. Rotowire.com Today, 11:15 am

    • Back in majors, will start Tuesday
The Pirates recalled Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Manager Derek Shelton confirmed that Davis will draw the start at catcher Tuesday against the Dodgers in the 24-year-old's return to the big leagues. He should ultimately split starts behind the dish with veteran Yasmani Grandal. Davis was optioned in early May after a dreadful start to the season, but he rebounded at Indianapolis by slashing .296/.436/.642 with seven home runs in 23 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 9:49 am

    • Joins hit parade in Colorado
Stephenson went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and an additional run scored in Monday's 13-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The Reds busted out in a big way in Colorado, setting new season highs in hits and runs. Stephenson's teammates did most of the damage before the catcher finished the rout with a two-run homer in the ninth inning. It was his sixth home run of the season and first in 13 games. • Moves up in order
Moreno batted second and went 1-for-4 in Monday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Arizona manager Torey Lovullo tweaked the lineup against a left-handed starter, dropping Corbin Carroll to eighth and moving Moreno up the order. The manager told Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports that Carroll is expected to slide down the order against lefties beyond Monday's game. The move is not a recognition of Moreno's hot bat -- he's batting .235 with a .643 OPS -- and is more about Carroll's struggles. Rotowire.com Today, 4:29 am
    • Swipes bag Monday
Herrera went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Herrera's two steals this year have come over his last eight games. The catcher has gone 8-for-31 (.258) in that span, but he has just two extra-base hits, one RBI and one run scored. For the season, he's batting .269 with a .691 OPS, three home runs, three doubles, 16 RBI and 15 runs scored over 150 plate appearances. While there hasn't been a lot of power in his bat, Herrera has hit well enough to maintain the starting job over Pedro Pages while Willson Contreras (forearm) remains out.
