    • Notches 12th save
Fairbanks earned his 12th save of the season Monday against Seattle, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Fairbanks picked up his second save in as many days, totaling three strikeouts while not allowing a single baserunner. The 30-year-old has pitched well in the month of June, going 7-for-8 in save chances with a 2.31 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP and an 11:2 K:BB in 11.2 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:31 pm

    • Pete Fairbanks silences M’s to net 12th save
Pete Fairbanks struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Monday against the Mariners to record his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Fairbanks got the call to protect a one-run lead in the final frame after Tampa Bay erased a one-run deficit in the eighth inning and needed just 10 pitches (nine strikes) to slam the door. It was his second straight perfect outing after an ugly blown save last week against the Twins. He’s converted 12 of his 14 save chances this season to accompany a 3.25 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 30/12 K/BB ratio across 27 2/3 innings (28 appearances). Rotoworld Monday, 7:41 pm

    • Labors through loss
Marsh (5-5) took the loss Sunday against Texas, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Marsh tied his season high in hits allowed Sunday and failed to complete six innings for the fourth time in his last five starts. While he didn't surrender a home run, the Rangers did tag Marsh for three doubles. All three runs against Marsh came in the fourth inning, when he allowed three straight hits to open the frame before yielding a two-out, two-RBI single to Leody Taveras. After posting a 4-2 record and a 3.24 ERA across his first nine starts, Marsh has put up a 6.66 ERA with a 1-3 record in June. He'll look to close out the month on a high note during a projected start against the Guardians next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:37 pm

    • Alec Marsh hit around by Rangers
Alec Marsh allowed three runs on eight hits in 5 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Advice: Marsh held the Rangers scoreless through the first three innings, but he allowed three runs on three hits in the fourth inning and then got chased from the game in the middle of the sixth inning after allowing two straight hits; although none of the runners came around to score. Since his great start against the Yankees, where he modified his pitch mix specifically for New York’s hitters, Marsh has allowed 10 runs in nine combined innings in his last two starts. The 26-year-old has a 4.40 ERA and remains on the streaming radar, but is a bit risky next week against the Guardians. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:58 pm

    • Pete Fairbanks perfect in earning 11th save
Pete Fairbanks notched his 11th save with a scoreless ninth versus the Pirates on Sunday.

Advice: Fairbanks struck out one while protecting a two-run lead. The closer had allowed single runs in three of his previous four appearances. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:14 pm

    • Picks up 11th save
Fairbanks tossed a perfect ninth inning, striking out one to collect a save Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Fairbanks needed only 11 pitches to close the door on his 11th save. Fairbanks had allowed a run to score in three of his previous four appearances, with Sunday marking the first time in seven appearances he did not allow a baserunner. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:05 pm

    • Blows save, earns win
Fairbanks (2-3) blew a save but earned the win Thursday, allowing one run on two hits over two innings against the Twins. He struck out one.

Advice: Fairbanks was not needed to start the ninth due to the Rays holding a four-run lead, but a leadoff homer followed by the next two runners reaching base created a save situation. After inducing a couple of quick outs, Jose Miranda tagged Fairbanks for a game-tying homer that sent the game to extras. Once the Rays regained the lead in the 10th, Fairbanks stayed in to close out his own victory. The blown save was the second of the season for Fairbanks, who ran the gamut during the series with the Twins, suffering the loss Tuesday followed by the blown save and subsequent win Thursday. • Pete Fairbanks (thumb) blows save, gets victory
Pete Fairbanks (thumb) blew a save while allowing a run against the Twins on Thursday, but worked two innings to get the victory.

Advice: Fairbanks entered the game with a couple of runners on and Tampa Bay holding a 6-3 cushion. He was able to get the first two outs, but then gave up a game-tying homer to Jose Miranda to blow the save. He was able to get the final three outs after the Rays scored in the 10th, however, so he gets the win. The right-hander missed a couple of days while dealing with a thumb injury, so the positive is he was back on the mound and does at least get a win. Fairbanks is still likely to see save chances going forward even with a fair share of clunkers. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:28 pm

    • Blows save, picks up fifth win
Kimbrel (5-2) earned the win and blew a save against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing one run on two hits with a strikeout in the ninth inning.

Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a 5-4 lead in the ninth inning but allowed a leadoff double by Anthony Volpe and a game-tying single by Giancarlo Stanton. He was able to keep the game tied and the Yankees won in the 10th inning to earn Kimbrel the win. Until Wednesday, Kimbrel had not allowed an earned run since May 8 or blown a save since April 28. On the season Kimbrel is now 16-for-20 in save chances and owns a 2.63 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 39:11 K:BB over 27.1 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:10 pm
