      David Bednar tossed a scoreless inning with one strikeout to earn the win against the Rockies on Saturday.

      Advice: Bender entered in the top of the ninth with the game scoreless. He tossed a clean frame, striking out one batter to send it tied to the bottom of the ninth.       Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Padres’ debut against the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

      Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old was hitting .299/.347/.372 with zero homers and five RBI through 148 plate appearances with the Marlins. He’ll now serve as the catalyst for a Padres’ offense that could use a boost at the top of the order.       Héctor Neris allowed one run in the ninth inning, holding on for the save against the Brewers on Saturday.

      Advice: It hasn’t come easy for Neris, but he just keeps getting by in the ninth inning. He was summoned with a two-run lead against the Brewers and gave up a run on two hits and a walk before closing it out for his sixth save. Mark Letter Jr. tossed two scoreless innings with three strikeouts before handing it over to Neris. He’ll be someone to watch if Neris struggles to convert saves going forward.     • Wilyer Abreu plates lone run in loss to Twins
      Wilyer Abreu went 2-for-4 and drove in the Red Sox’ lone run in Saturday afternoon’s loss to the Twins.

      Advice: The Red Sox got something going early in this one, as Tyler O’Neill smacked a two-out double off of Pablo López in the opening inning. Abreu followed with a run-scoring single that gave his squad an early 1-0 advantage. That would be their only run in the ballgame. Abreu also singled in the game, collecting two of his team’s eight total hits.     • Turner expects to miss six-plus weeks with injury
      Trea Turner told reporters that he expects to miss at least six weeks with his hamstring injury.

      Advice: Turner told reporters that anything prior to a six-week return would “be a win.” It’s a significant blow for both fantasy managers and the Phillies — and Turner himself, of course — as the shortstop was once again playing at an elite level.     • Out at least six weeks
      Turner (hamstring) said Saturday that he expects to miss at least six weeks with his left hamstring strain and that a return sooner than that "would be a win," Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Turner strained his left hamstring Friday against the Cubs, and he was placed on the 10-day injured list a day later. It's a big blow for the Phillies, as Turner has been one of their most productive players at the plate this season with an .852 OPS, second on the team behind Alec Bohm. Six weeks would take Turner to a potential return in mid-June, though the star shortstop could be out until July depending on how he progresses in his rehab. Philadelphia appears set to turn to Edmundo Sosa as the primary shortstop with Turner on the shelf, and Bryson Stott could perhaps shift over from second base on occasion, though Stott hasn't made an appearance at shortstop since 2022.       Padres acquired Luis Arraez and cash considerations from the Marlins for OF Dillon Head, OF Jakob Marsee, 1B Nathan Martorella and RHP Woo-Suk Go.

      Advice: What was announced Friday is official Saturday. Arraez will head to the Padres after hitting .299 with a 719 OPS over 137 at-bats with the Marlins in 2023, and he’s a career .324/.377/.423 hitter in his time with the Fish and the Twins.
