    • Third straight two-steal game
De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in Friday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: De La Cruz stole a base after each of his hits, no doubt taking advantage of the Giants starting their fourth-string catcher, Jakson Reetz, in this contest. This was De La Cruz's third straight game with multiple steals, and he's achieved that seven times this season. The speedy infielder is up to 25 thefts on 29 attempts in 2024 while maintaining a .271/.370/.519 slash line through 38 games. He's added eight home runs, 20 RBI, 28 runs scored, seven doubles and a triple while serving as the Reds' No. 2 hitter. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

    • Closes out Friday's game
Diaz walked one and struck out two in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Friday's 4-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Diaz had given up five runs over 1.1 innings across his last two outings, which came in non-save situations. This was his first save since April 27, and he's now 7-for-8 in save chances this season. A couple of implosions have wreaked havoc on Diaz's ratios -- he's at a 6.08 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 16:9 K:BB through 13.1 innings, but he's been scored upon in four of his 14 appearances. His walk rate is high, but it hasn't cost him the closer job yet. Rotowire.com 52 minutes ago
    • Elly De La Cruz steals two bags in win over Giants
Elly De La Cruz stole two bases and went 2-for-4 with two runs scored in a 4-2 win over the Giants on Friday.

Advice: With those two steals, De La Cruz is already up to 25 on the season. The speedy infielder also helped turn a terrific double play and remains must-see television anytime there’s a chance to watch. De La Cruz has absolutely lived up to the hype in the early portion of 2024, and then some. Rotoworld Today, 9:49 pm

    • Díaz picks up seventh save against Giants
Alexis Díaz hurled a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Giants on Friday.

Advice: Díaz did allow a walk, but he didn’t give up a hit while striking out two, and lowered his ERA to 6.08 in the process. That ERA is less-than-ideal, but keep in mind that it’s mostly from some early scuffles. Díaz should be a fine closing option for the remainder of 2024. Rotoworld Today, 9:49 pm
    • Quality in Coors return
Gray did not factor into the decision Friday against the Rockies, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gray collected a quality start in his first return to Coors Field since departing Colorado in free agency after the 2021 season. The Texas right-hander racked up his third consecutive quality start, firing a 1.71 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 17:1 K:BB in 21 innings over that span. Gray is slated to make his next start at home against Cleveland. Rotowire.com Today, 9:22 pm

    • Four hits, homer in win
Bellinger went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a solo home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 7-2 victory over the Pirates.

Advice: Bellinger opened the scoring in the first inning, launching a solo shot off an 0-2 pitch from Jared Jones to give the Cubs an early lead. The 28-year-old Bellinger is now 7-for-13 with a pair of home runs in three games since returning from the IL. Overall, he's slashing .268/.345/.536 with seven homers, 19 RBI and 13 runs scored through 25 games this season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm

    • Blaze Alexander finishes 0-for-4 against Orioles
Blaze Alexander went 0-for-4 and struck out twice against the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: Alexander has been taking a backseat to the steadier glove of Kevin Newman now that he’s cooled off at the plate, and the start today was his second in Arizona’s last five games. He’s gone hitless in his last four appearances in the lineup, and his OPS has dropped from 1.000 on Apr. 19 to .803 currently. Rotoworld Today, 8:32 pm

    • Notches 10th save
Iglesias allowed a run on a hit and a walk over one inning Friday. He earned a save over the Mets.

Advice: Iglesias coughed up an RBI single to Pete Alonso with two outs in the ninth but was able to close out the 4-2 victory. Iglesias has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances this year while posting a 10:4 K:BB through 15.1 innings. Friday was the first time he allowed an earned run since April 24 and he still owns a strong 2.25 ERA. Rotowire.com Today, 8:30 pm
    • Jon Gray whiffs seven, allows one run vs. Rockies
Jon Gray struck out seven while allowing just a run over six innings Friday in a no-decision versus the Rockies.

Advice: Gray, 32, did allow eight hits, but he issued just one walk and was able to make enough big pitchers to hold the Colorado lineup to just that run in Coors Field. The right-hander has been excellent as of late, and he’s now allowed no more than one run in all but two starts in 2024. He’ll take a 2.36 ERA into his next scheduled start against Cleveland on Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 8:05 pm
