    • Bo Bichette (calf) targeting Tuesday return
Bo Bichette (calf) will go through a full pregame routine on Monday.

Advice: Bichette appears likely to return when first eligible on Tuesday, assuming he gets through Monday’s batting practice, fielding drills and baserunning exercises without any sort of setback. The 26-year-old shortstop landed on the injured list earlier this week with a mild right calf strain. Rotoworld Today, 9:32 am

    • Sitting Sunday
Lowe (toe) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe will sit for the series finale Sunday after sustaining a broken pinky toe on a hit-by-pitch in the first inning of Saturday's 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh. Lowe isn't expected to be placed on the IL and will be available to pinch hit Sunday, per Topkin. Richie Palacios will start at second base Sunday and bat fifth against Pirates right-hander Paul Skenes. Rotowire.com Today, 9:18 am

    • Brandon Lowe sitting out Sunday with fractured toe
Brandon Lowe is not in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates.

Advice: The positive news here is that Lowe hasn’t been placed on the injured list yet after suffering a fractured right pinky toe during Saturday’s game when he was hit by a pitch. The 29-year-old second baseman is day-to-day for now. There should be some clarity on his status in a couple days, if not sooner, depending on whether he’s feeling well enough to return. • Edmundo Sosa out Sunday with left elbow contusion
Edmundo Sosa (elbow) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see Sosa on the bench following his early exit from Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks being hit by a pitch on the left elbow. The versatile 28-year-old is day-to-day for now and will probably be ready to return in a couple days, if not sooner. Rotoworld Today, 6:56 am

    • Ninth-inning grand slam in loss
Turang went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and a walk in Saturday's loss to the Padres.

Advice: Turang reached base four times in the contest, topping things off with a ninth-inning grand slam to bring Milwaukee back within two runs of the Padres. The grand slam was the second of his career and he's now collected at least one RBI in three consecutive games. Turang has also recorded multiple hits in three straight and is now batting .296 on the campaign with five homers and 31 RBI and 26 stolen bases. Perhaps the only downside is that he's been caught stealing in each of his last three attempts, including twice on Saturday. Rotowire.com Today, 6:36 am

    • Back at third base for now
Smith started at third base and went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-0 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Smith made a second consecutive start in the field after serving as a designated hitter for a pair of games. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss four games before returning as the DH. Now that he's back in the field, the question becomes how long he will be there. Third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) rejoined the team Friday and will take live batting practice Tuesday. If all goes well, Jung could be activated off the 60-day injured list afterward. The Rangers would like to keep Smith's bat in the lineup; he's batting .304/.393/.469 over a career-high 259 plate appearances. The lefty hitter could serve as the primary DH; he owns an .857 OPS against lefties and an .863 OPS against righties this season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:36 am

    • Kyle Finnegan melts down in blown save vs. Rockies
Kyle Finnegan was charged with two runs and failed to record an out on Saturday in an ugly blown save against the Rockies.

Advice: Finnegan was saddled with a loss in the ninth inning after failing to hold a one-run lead at Coors Field. It was his first blown save since May 18. He gave up four consecutive hits to open the frame, including a game-tying single to Brenton Doyle, before handing out a bases-loaded free pass to Ryan McMahon to push across the game-winning run. It was a pretty legendary meltdown, but fantasy managers should overlook it considering the environment and how solid Finnegan has been overall this year. Rotoworld Today, 3:16 am

    • Launches 13th homer
De La Cruz went 3-for-5 with a solo home run in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: De La Cruz gave Cincinnati a 3-0 lead with his third-inning solo shot, but that turned out to be the final run the Reds scored in the game. The star shortstop came into the contest 0-for-10 with five strikeouts over his previous three contests, so the three-hit effort was a nice way to get back on track. De La Cruz now has 13 long balls on the campaign, and he's added 32 RBI, 48 runs, a league-leading 37 steals and a .240/.338/.444 slash line. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:04 pm

    • Drives in three
Conforto went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Saturday's 9-4 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Conforto has struggled mightily since returning from a hamstring injury. He's gone 6-for-55 (.109) over 16 games in June, a stretch poor enough to cost him an everyday role in left field -- he's been operating as a strong-side platoon player over the last couple of weeks. The outfielder is at a .232/.290/.409 slash line with eight home runs, 25 RBI, 22 runs scored and no stolen bases across 214 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:09 pm
