    • White Sox lose Eloy Jiménez to IL due to hamstring
White Sox placed DH Eloy Jiménez on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.

Advice: So many leg injuries. Jiménez’s numbers aren’t great or even very good, but from an xwOBA perspective, he had really picked it up in recent weeks, and Statcast though he should have been slugging .465, rather than his current .381. The White Sox will put Gavin Sheets at DH while Jiménez is out, which at least will improve the defense. Corey Julks, Dominic Fletcher and Zach DeLoach will battle for at-bats in right. • Getting rest Wednesday
Mullins is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After playing the final three innings of Tuesday's suspended game earlier Wednesday and finishing 0-for-3 in Baltimore's 3-1 loss, Mullins will get a breather for the regularly scheduled game. Colton Cowser will shift over from his usual spot in left field to make room in the lineup for Austin Hays and will replace Mullins in center field. Rotowire.com Today, 10:35 am

    • Pops fourth homer Tuesday
Raley went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mariners had their power stroke in solid form Tuesday, and Raley delivered one of four homers for Seattle on the night. The surging outfielder extended his hitting streak to eight games in the process, a stretch where he's left the yard on three occasions overall and has struck out at an atypically low 18.2 percent clip. • Goes deep again Tuesday
McMahon went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Athletics.

Advice: McMahon kicked off the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning off of Aaron Brooks for his only hit of the evening. He's now upped his hitting streak to nine games and is slashing .378/.310/.676 with three homers, seven RBI and nine runs scored. He's maintained an average north of .300 for the majority of the season thus far and is currently riding a streak of 19 consecutive plate appearances without striking out. Rotowire.com Today, 8:12 am

    • Brett Baty sits against second straight righty
Brett Baty is out of the lineup against a righty for a second straight game Wednesday against the Guardians.

Advice: While Baty and Mark Vientos had been platooning, it figured that Vientos would get one start against the Guardians, just because the Mets didn’t want him to sit around doing nothing for four days (three straight righties followed by an off day). Vientos, though, did very well with his start last night, going 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, and he’s getting the nod again in this one. It wouldn’t be much of a surprise to see Baty demoted soon. Rotoworld Today, 7:33 am

    • Sitting against right-hander again
Baty is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Baty is on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Triston McKenzie), likely signaling that he's at least temporarily lost hold of his role as the Mets' preferred third baseman. Though he's drawn positive reviews for his work defensively this season, Baty has failed to take a notable step forward at the plate, as he's posted a .611 OPS through 150 plate appearances. Baty has performed especially poorly over the past three weeks, going just 5-for-40 with 19 strikeouts against three walks across a stretch of 13 games. Mark Vientos looks like he'll get an extended look at the hot corner as the Mets look to bolster their slumping offense. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am

    • Shaky results in no-decision
Javier did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's win over the Angels, allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out one over four innings.

Advice: Javier's night got started off on the wrong foot after surrendering a two-run blast to Luis Rengifo in the opening frame. The Angels then got to him for two more runs in the fourth on a trio of hits, which included an RBI-double from Zach Neto. It was a very discouraging performance after Javier put together his best start of the season his previous outing against the A's. After the game, he cited his struggles due to poor mechanics, though he's now given up 11 runs on 13 hits and seven walks while striking out just one batter in 5.1 innings in his two starts surrounding his gem against Oakland. The 27-year-old now owns a 3.89 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 27:19 K:BB in 34.2 innings and lines up to face Seattle next week. Rotowire.com Today, 4:44 am
    • Punches out seven
Littell didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Boston, allowing two runs on three hits and one walk across 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Littell fared better against the Red Sox the second time around, holding them to three hits Tuesday after yielding seven hits and four runs to Boston in his last start. Though the 28-year-old did surrender a solo homer to Jarren Duran, he tied his season high in strikeouts and walked fewer than two batters for the sixth time in his last seven starts. Littell hasn't gone deeper than six innings this season but owns a 3.42 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP across 10 appearances. He's scheduled for a home start against the Athletics next Tuesday. • Cristian Javier struggles in no-decision
Cristian Javier was removed after giving up four runs and eight hits in four innings Tuesday against the Angels.

Advice: Javier’s stuff was well off tonight; he averaged just 90.4 mph with his fastball, which was down 1.5 mph from his previous average this season. He wound up with just one strikeout and three walks. All things considered, he was lucky to give up just the four runs. Javier said afterwards that the decline in velocity was due to poor mechanics and not anything injury-related, so that’s probably good. He’ll face the Mariners next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:03 pm
