    • Braves coaches think Acuña needs a “detox”
According to Ken Suguira of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Braves gave Ronald Acuña Jr. the day off on Wednesday because they wanted him to “detox” as a way to break his slump.

Advice: Acuña’s batting average (.245), slugging percentage (.342), and home-run rate (one per 51.7 at-bats) are all beneath the single-season lows in his seven-year career, as the 26-year-old tries to follow up a historically good season. “You can just read their faces sometimes, and actions,” said Braves coach Brian Snitker. “And it’s like, ‘Well, it’s time.’ Kid needs a little breather here. He’s played every inning of every game. It’s not a bad thing to sit and watch sometimes.” Braves coaches, Eddie Pérez and Tom Goodwin, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that they believe that Acuña is pressing. “Sometimes, you force some things,” Goodwin said. Perhaps with a short break, Acuña will get back to the level everybody has seen him produce at before. Fantasy managers should clearly keep him in the lineup and hope he gets it going soon. • Mike Tauchman hits solo-shot in win over Braves
Mike Tauchman went 2-for-5 with a home run against the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Wednesday marked the third straight game Tauchman has led-off for the Cubs against a right-handed pitcher and he’s hit either first or second in every game against righties since April 23rd. It seems like the Cubs trust him at the top of their order while he stays hot. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:45 pm

    • Goes deep in Wednesday's win
Tauchman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Tauchman was effective from the leadoff spot as he delivered his fourth home run of the season and first since April 28. The veteran started in left field in this one with Ian Happ getting the night off, but the Cubs now have a crowded outfield that features Tauchman, Happ, Cody Bellinger, Seiya Suzuki and Pete Crow-Armstrong. This could push Tauchman to the bench on a frequent basis, though the team seems intent on getting him regular playing time, and he's earned it with a strong .821 OPS so far. • Jurickson Profar swipes base in loss on Wednesday
Jurickson Profar singled and stole a base on Wednesday afternoon as the Padres were shut out by the Rockies.

Advice: Profar smacked a leadoff single off of Austin Gomber in the fourth inning and swiped second base, but the Padres couldn’t cash him in from there. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 with a strikeout. On the season, he’s still slashing a robust .322/.412/.513 with seven homers, 29 RBI and three stolen bases. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:52 pm
    • Cedric Mullins gets pulled for pinch-hitter
Cedric Mullins, who was dropped to ninth in Baltimore’s lineup, was lifted for a pinch-hitter after opening up 0-for-2 on Wednesday.

Advice: Mullins is 0-for-16 with eight strikeouts in his last five games and 5-for-59 with a 19/4 K/BB in his last 18 games. He was off to fine start before that, but the Orioles seem to have real concerns about the way he’s performing, given that he was just held out of the starting lineup twice against righties over the weekend. He’s down to .183/.234/.349 for the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:14 pm

    • Ronald Acuña Jr. not in Braves lineup on Wednesday
Ronald Acuña Jr. is not in the Braves’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: It looks to be nothing more than a routine day of rest for the 26-year-old superstar. Michael Harris II will move up to the leadoff spot in the Braves’ order while Adam Duvall will draw a rare start against a right-hander and will bat sixth against Javier Assad and the Cubs on Wednesday evening in Atlanta. • Gets first day off of season
Acuna is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Acuna is on the bench for the series finale, but his absence doesn't appear to be anything more than a much-needed maintenance day after he had started in right field in each of Atlanta's first 39 games of the season. Adam Duvall will step in as the starting right fielder in place of Acuna, who is in the midst of a cool stretch at the plate with just four hits in 31 at-bats over his last eight starts. • Resting Wednesday
Yelich is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: With a lefty (Martin Perez) on the hill for Pittsburgh and the Brewers and Pirates getting together for a day game after a night game, the lefty-hitting Yelich will hit the bench in the series finale. Yelich's absence clears a spot in the outfield for Blake Perkins, who returns to the lineup after playing off the bench for the past two games. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:41 am
    • Power trending up
Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Arozarena slugged his eighth home run of the season and fifth in his last 11 games. He's also stolen three bags in that span. While his counting stats have been trending positively, Arozarena has still struck out at a 31.5 percent clip in May, leading to a .205 batting average for the month. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:35 am
