      José Abreu went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts Tuesday in a loss to the Mariners.

      Advice: We’d understand the Astros giving Abreu one more shot at Jon Singleton’s expense, and we’d understand setting up a platoon that sees Singleton play versus righties and Abreu against lefties. What we can’t understand is playing both guys, when it means putting both Chas McCormick and Mauricio Dubón on the bench and taking a defensive downgrade with Yordan Alvarez in left field (and increasing the injury risk for Alvarez).       Advice: Rengifo did a good job of getting on base, and he was able to score after his singles in the first and eighth innings. The infielder has been locked in since returning from an illness May 17, going 15-for-42 (.357) over his last 10 contests.       Advice: Buxton got on base in all four plate appearances, logging an infield single in the third frame and generating a triple in the fifth. It wasn't until the bottom of the eighth that Buxton came around to score, reaching via a base on balls and stealing second base before being plated by Edouard Julien on a base hit.       Duran picked up the save Tuesday against Kansas City, allowing two hits and no walks with a strikeout over one scoreless inning.

      Advice: Duran surrendered a leadoff double to Salvador Perez and then a single to Adam Frazier, putting runners on the corners with no outs in the ninth. However, pinch-runner Dairon Blanco was caught stealing second and Duran retired MJ Melendez and Nick Loftin back-to-back to keep the Royals off the scoreboard.       Jhoan Duran earned his eighth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

      Advice: Back-to-back hits to kick off the ninth got Duran in trouble early, but he was able to buckle down and retire his remaining batters to earn the win for the Twins, who have now won six of their last seven.       Tyler Glasnow struck out eight and allowed two runs over seven innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Mets.

      Advice: Glasnow did his job in the front-end of Tuesday’s twin bill at Citi Field, limiting New York’s offense to just a third-inning homer by Francisco Lindor over seven strong frames of work. The hard-throwing 30-year-old righty notched at least eight punchouts for the seventh time in 12 starts this season, while also matching a season-high with four walks. He generated 15 swinging strikes and finished with a lackluster 27 percent CSW. It wasn’t his most dominant outing of his Dodgers debut, but he remains one of the few elite starters left healthy in the entire fantasy landscape. He’ll carry a stellar 3.04 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 95/21 K/BB ratio across 74 innings (12 starts) into a road tilt next Tuesday against his former team in Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:57 pm
