    • Won't travel for start of road trip
Astros manager Joe Espada said Wednesday that Verlander (neck) hasn't resumed playing catch and won't accompany the team to New York for this weekend's three-game series versus the Mets, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Verlander isn't eligible to return from the 15-day injured list until Monday, but with the Astros continuing their trip in Toronto and then Minnesota next week, the right-hander's absence for the start of the road swing wouldn't seem to inspire much optimism about his chances of being ready to make a start against the Blue Jays, and perhaps even the Twins. The Astros will likely wait and see if Verlander is able to take any meaningful steps forward in his recovery from the neck issue over the next few days while he's back in Houston before determining his status for the Toronto series. • Pilfers 14th bag in win
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Advice: Despite the sparse stat line, Chisholm played a key role in the victory -- he smashed an infield single back at Will Smith in the seventh inning, and Nick Gordon came home with the winning run on the southpaw's throwing error. Chisholm has had a productive June so far, slashing .286/.338/.414 through 21 contests with two of his 10 homers and three of his 14 steals on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:05 am

    • Strong showing from bottom of order
Bader went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Hitting ninth in the order, Bader took Gerrit Cole deep in the second inning, one of four homers by the Mets off the Yankees ace. The 30-year-old center fielder is slashing .273/.295/.545 through 18 games in June with three of his five homers and three of his 11 steals on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 5:44 am

    • Drives in five in loss
Judge went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run and five RBI in Tuesday's 9-7 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Most of his damage came on a grand slam in the eighth inning off Reed Garrett as the Yankees tried to mount a comeback from a 9-1 deficit. Judge is putting the finishing touches on a mammoth June that has seen him slash .386/.500/.871 with nine homers and 30 RBI in 20 games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:33 am

    • Yields homer in non-save spot
Hader allowed a solo home run and a walk with three strikeouts during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Hader stepped into the game for the ninth inning despite not being eligible for the save and gave up his first home run since June 9 to Michael Toglia. After a shaky start to 2024, Hader owns a 2.25 ERA with 30 strikeouts and eight saves over his last 19 appearances. He's also walking batters at his lowest clip since 2019, with 2.4 BB/9 in 2024. • Struggles with command
Anderson (7-7) picked up the win Tuesday against Oakland, allowing three runs on five hits and five walks across five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Walks have been an especially pertinent issue for Anderson as of late, with Tuesday's start being his third time issuing five free passes in six appearances. Despite finding the strike zone on just 62 of his 109 pitches, Anderson was good enough at limiting damage to pull out his seventh victory of the season. Still, when the A's made contact, they hit Anderson hard. Three of the 34-year-old's five hits surrendered went for extra bases, with Brent Rooker clubbing a solo homer in the fifth frame. Anderson owns a 2.63 ERA and a 65:46 K:BB across 99.1 innings this season. He's on track to close out a two-start week against Detroit on Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 12:09 am
    • Tyler Anderson goes five in win over A’s
Tyler Anderson allowed three runs over five innings Tuesday in a win over the A’s.

Advice: Anderson struck out two and walked five tonight, but walks and strikeouts simply haven’t meant anything to him this season. He’s posted a hideous 65/46 K/BB ratio while amassing a 2.63 ERA in 94 1/3 innings. The win tonight evened his record at 7-7. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:39 pm
    • Homers in three-hit game
Buxton went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Buxton got the Twins on the board with his fifth-inning solo shot and was also a part of their rally in the seventh. The outfielder has gone 8-for-20 (.400) with six extra-base hits over his last five games. He slumped early in June but has rebounded to get his slash line to .255/.302/.435 with six homers, 26 RBI, 28 runs scored and five stolen bases over 215 plate appearances this year. • Key role in win
Marte went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Advice: Marte's homer opened the scoring in the first inning and he added a go-ahead RBI single in the seventh to put the Diamondbacks ahead for good. The second baseman had gone just 2-for-16 over his previous four contests before this multi-hit effort. He's been a big contributor throughout the campaign with a .280/.340/.507 slash line, 16 homers, 46 RBI, 51 runs scored and three stolen bases across 76 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:03 pm
