    • Roughed up in loss
Wilson (3-3) took the loss Sunday against Detroit, surrendering seven earned runs on six hits and two walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Wilson uncharacteristically got shelled Sunday, allowing more than three earned runs for the first time this season. The 26-year-old did not allow a home run for the first time since May 6, but Wilson has been struggling after a hot start to the season. Over his past six appearances, Wilson has allowed five or more hits in all of them, pitching to a 6.11 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP over 28 innings. He will look to rebound in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend versus Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:25 pm

    • Bryse Wilson deals with velocity dip in loss
Bryse Wilson was lit up for seven runs in 4 1/3 innings by the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: It was two runs through four before the Tigers busted out with eight runs in the fifth, five of them being charged to Wilson. Even though he had an extra day off coming into this one, Wilson’s velocity was down significantly for a second straight outing, which has to be a source of concern for the Brewers. His ERA jumped from 3.35 to 4.19 today. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:19 pm

    • Gives up two homers in loss
Brown (1-3) took the loss to the Reds on Saturday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk while striking out three over four innings.

Advice: Brown gave up multiple home runs in a game for the first time in his young career. Jeimer Candelario took him deep in the first inning and then TJ Friedl got him for the go-ahead homer in the third. The rookie right-hander has now given up eight runs in his last two starts after a stellar showing of seven no-hit innings against the Brewers on May 28. Brown will take a 3.58 ERA into his next start, currently slated for next weekend against the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:52 pm

    • Brown allows three runs in four innings Saturday
Ben Brown allowed three runs in four innings and took the loss against the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Brown gave up three hits, walked one and struck out three. He allowed five runs in his last start, which was also against the Reds. Brown has completed five innings in only three of his eight starts for the Cubs this year. He’s still looking for his first win as a starting pitcher. Outside of his performance on May 28th against the Brewers when he went seven innings, allowed no runs and recorded 10 strikeouts, Brown’s been fairly pedestrian when starting. The 24-year-old right-hander is tentatively scheduled to face the Cardinals at home next week.

    • Dominant vs. Atlanta
Pivetta (3-4) earned the win Wednesday over Atlanta, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out nine over seven scoreless innings.

Advice: It was a stellar effort against a potent Atlanta lineup from Pivetta, who now has nine strikeouts in consecutive starts while punching out eight or more in four of his last five outings. The 31-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.40 with a 0.94 WHIP and 51:9 K:BB across eight starts (42.1 innings) this season. Pivetta is currently in line for a home matchup with the Phillies early next week in his next outing. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:09 pm

    • Nick Pivetta delivers gem in 9-0 win over Braves
Nick Pivetta allowed only one hit over seven innings Wednesday as the Red Sox shut out the Braves 9-0.

Advice: Pivetta fanned nine and walked two in his longest outing of the year. In eight starts this season, he’s been great three times, good three times and bad twice, which probably should have produced something better than a 3-4 record. He might be more valuable for fantasy purposes in the second half of the season, as the Red Sox will likely cash him in before he hits free agency. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:25 pm

    • Next start pushed back
Crawford's next scheduled start will be pushed back to early next week against the Phillies, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Crawford's next turn comes up Sunday versus the White Sox, but the Red Sox want to give him some extra rest given his recent struggles (he's allowed four or more earned runs in four of his last five starts). Boston is expected to go with a bullpen game Sunday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:55 am

    • Red Sox may push back Kutter Crawford’s start
The Red Sox are looking at going with a bullpen game on Sunday and pushing Kutter Crawford’s next start back to Tuesday.

Advice: Bad news for those hoping Crawford would bounce back against the White Sox. He’ll instead face the Phillies if the Red Sox follow through on this, though at least he’d be doing so on six days’ rest instead of four. The Red Sox are off Monday, which makes the bullpen game a little more feasible. Rotoworld Wednesday, 8:45 am

    • Kutter Crawford has another rough start in loss
Kutter Crawford allowed six runs (four earned) on five hits in six innings in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: Crawford has now allowed 15 earned runs in 16 1/3 innings in his last three starts. However, those starts were also against the Brewers, Braves, and Orioles. He was never going to carry over the 1.75 ERA he had over his first eight starts, but he’s also not pitching as poorly of late as those earned runs totals would indicate. He induced 12 whiffs on 51 swings for a 24 percent whiff rate on the day and lines up for a much better start against the White Sox this weekend. He should still be rostered and started in almost all formats. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:22 pm
