Santander went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Santander put the Orioles ahead with the second of their three homers in the eighth inning. He's gone 3-for-15 with two homers and four RBI over his last four contests. The outfielder is up to a .205/.284/.432 slash line with nine long balls, 29 RBI, 25 runs scored, 11 doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 197 plate appearances. Santander started three of the last four games in right field before resting his legs as the designated hitter Saturday, so it looks like he's moved past the bruised knee that bothered him earlier in the week. • Three hits including homer
Westburg went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The O's did all their scoring in the eighth inning, and Westburg slugged the last of three Baltimore homers in the frame when he took Michael Kopech deep. It was the 25-year-old infielder's first multi-hit performance since May 15, snapping a 4-for-29 (.138) swoon. Despite the mini-slump, Westburg sports a .285/.342/.508 slash line on the season with eight homers, five steals, 26 runs and 31 RBI in 48 contests. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:41 am

    • Rehab start could come next week
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Saturday that there's a chance Cole (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment as soon as the upcoming week, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Cole threw a live batting practice session Saturday without issue, marking the second time he's faced hitters since he resumed a throwing program. According to Erik Boland of Newsday, Cole utilized all of his pitches in the simulated game and reached 95 miles per hour on his fastball, a velocity limit the Yankees had imposed on him prior to the throwing session as a matter of precaution. Cole could be asked to throw another live BP, but beginning a rehab assignment also appears to be on the table. Cole will need multiple rehab starts before returning from the injured list and joining the Yankees rotation, so he's still a few weeks away from making his 2024 debut with the big club. • Anthony Santander launches two-run homer in win
Anthony Santander went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk to put the Orioles ahead in Saturday’s 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: After drawing a walk to lead off the seventh inning, Santander took Michael Kopech deep for a two-run blast in the eighth to give the Orioles a one-run lead. It was his second homer in three games. Though, he’s collected only three hits in his last seven. The 29-year-old slugger is hitting .205/.284/.432 with nine homers and 29 RBI across 197 plate appearances. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:27 pm

    • Gerrit Cole (elbow) faces hitters again Saturday
Gerrit Cole (elbow) faced hitters on Saturday in a simulated game.

Advice: The emergence of dynamic righty Luis Gil has lessened the urgency for New York to rush Cole back in their starting rotation mix. The 33-year-old righty hasn’t ruled out a potential June return, but he’s going to need to progress to at least a handful of minor league rehab starts to build up his pitch count and stamina before that happens. • Evan Carter batting ninth on Saturday for Rangers
Evan Carter is batting ninth on Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Carter has batted pretty much everywhere in the Rangers’ lineup this season, but he’s been dropped to the ninth spot after batting .136 (6-for-44) with 16 strikeouts and only four walks over his last 15 contests. There are no easy answers here for fantasy managers, but the 21-year-old top prospect simply isn’t producing enough at the moment to make an impact. It’s tough to bail on him completely in re-draft formats, but the underlying batted ball data doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence in an immediate rebound. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:38 am

    • Swats fifth homer
Garcia went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's win over the Mariners.

Advice: With the Nationals trailing 1-0, Garcia gave MacKenzie Gore all the support he would need by driving a George Kirby slider over the fence in left-center field. It was the second baseman's second long ball in the last four games and his fifth of the season. After a 3-for-33 swoon in the middle of May, Garcia could be heating up again, as he's gone 5-for-16 with six RBI in those last four contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:43 am
    • Facing hitters again Saturday
Cole (elbow) will throw a live batting practice session Saturday, Chris Kirschner of The Athleticreports.

Advice: It will be the second time Cole has faced live hitters, with his first session taking place Tuesday when he threw about 20 pitches. While Cole is eligible to return from the 60-day IL at the end of May, he'll need multiple rehab starts before joining the Yankees' rotation. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:39 pm

    • Receiving breather Friday
Rutschman is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Advice: Rutschman started the previous four games but will sit Friday amid a 3-for-21 mini-slump. James McCann will step in behind the plate to form a battery with Corbin Burnes. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:43 pm
