      Advice: Joe returned to the lineup after sitting Monday and has started nine of Pittsburgh's 12 games in May. He's hit .294 with three home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI in that span, and he lifted his sixth long ball of the season Monday.       Advice: Even with Nick Gonzales in the majors, Triolo has continued to serve as an everyday player for the Pirates while playing third base in the absence of Ke'Bryan Hayes (back). Triolo's playing time is likely to be in jeopardy once Hayes can return, however, as he has only two hits across his last 27 at-bats and has just a .521 OPS in 157 plate appearances for the season.     • Yusei Kikuchi to start Wednesday
      The Blue Jays will have originally scheduled starter Yusei Kikuchi pitch Wednesday and push back Chris Bassitt, who was due to start in Tuesday’s rainout.

      Kikuchi is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Orioles in Baltimore, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: After Tuesday's game was postponed, the Blue Jays hadn't initially named a starter for Wednesday's series finale. Rather than pushing Chris Bassitt back a day in the pitching schedule after he had been in line to take the hill Tuesday, the Blue Jays will instead move up Kikuchi and have him take the hill Wednesday on his normal four days' rest.       Harris went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: The 23-year-old center fielder snapped a 20-game homer drought by taking Jameson Taillon deep in the fourth inning, kicking off a six-run frame that blew the game wide open. Harris is just one of a number of Atlanta hitters who have had sluggish starts to the season -- Tuesday's long ball was his first extra-base hit of any kind since April 26 -- but he may be heating up, as he has five hits and two walks in the last four games, lifting his slash line on the year to .260/.305/.390.       Pivetta came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Rays, allowing two runs on four hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

      Advice: The right-hander generated an impressive 32 called or swinging strikes among his 81 pitches, but both runs off Pivetta came on solo shots by Josh Lowe and Randy Arozarena, with the latter chasing him from the game one out short of his second quality start of the season. Pivetta has served up five homers in two starts since coming off the IL, a worrisome trend, but he'll carry a 3.48 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 22:2 K:BB through 20.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in St. Louis.     • Alec Burleson homers, doubles in Cardinals’ win
      Alec Burleson finished 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and a double as the Cardinals edged the Angels 7-6 on Tuesday.

      Advice: It was rather surprising that Burleson was even in the lineup tonight, as he was making just his fourth start against a left-handed pitcher. The strong showing puts him up to .272/.306/.437 this season, and while that might not be overly exciting, his .743 OPS is tops on the Cardinals, at least once one excludes the .950 mark posted by Willson Contreras before he got hurt. Burleson remains an iffy played in mixed leagues, but it’d be no surprise if he remains one of the best bats on a subpar offense. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:24 pm

      Burleson went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double, a stolen base and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

      Advice: Burleson has gone 9-for-24 (.375) over his last seven games, with five of his hits in that span going for extra bases. He also picked up his first steal of the campaign in Tuesday's win. The 25-year-old is up to a .272/.306/.437 slash line with four homers, 15 RBI, seven runs scored and five doubles over 108 plate appearances. He's operated in a strong-side platoon role for much of the season, but it's encouraging to note that two of his three hits Tuesday, including his homer, came against left-handed pitchers. With both Dylan Carlson and Lars Nootbaar under the Mendoza line, there could be an opportunity for Burleson to see more consistent playing time, especially since he's been in the lineup against the last three southpaws the Cardinals have faced.       Gavin Stone pitched six innings, allowing just one run, in the Dodgers’ 10-2 drubbing of the Giants on Tuesday.

      Advice: Stone struck out only two and walked three tonight, but there wasn’t much hard contact from the injury-riddled Giants lineup. It’s Stone’s fourth straight quality start, and he’s now 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA overall.
