• Out of lineup Thursday
Triolo isn't in the Pirates' lineup Thursday versus the Cubs.

Advice: Triolo will begin the day on the bench amid his recent struggles. After going 0-for-3 on Wednesday, he has just two hits in his last 39 plate appearances. The third baseman has been starting in the absence of Ke'Bryan Hayes, but Nick Gonzales will slide over from second to third Thursday. Alika Williams joins the lineup at second and will bat ninth. • Absent from lineup
Nevin is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Houston.

Advice: Nevin's production has cratered in May (3-for-39) and with that his playing time has also slipped. He's now started just half of the Athletics' last 10 games, and the last time he was in the lineup versus a right-hander he was down in the No. 8 spot. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:30 pm

  • Records third steal Wednesday
Raley went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a stolen base in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: Raley delivered a timely single in the eighth inning that plated pinch runner Leonardo Rivas, extending the Mariners' lead back to two runs after Bobby Witt had brought the Royals within one in the top half of the frame. Raley's multi-hit effort was an extension of a torrid stretch at the plate for the offseason addition, one that's seen him generate a .435 average and 1.219 OPS over the last seven games. • Another homer in Wednesday's win
France went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.

Advice: France's 414-foot shot to left center in the fourth inning extended the Mariners' lead to 2-0 and served as his second round-tripper in the last three games. France has also hit safely in all three of those contests, but both his .243 average and .295 on-base percentage are at their lowest points since his rookie campaign in 2019. • Scores run in first start
Aranda went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Aranda was in the lineup for the first time this season since being activated from the injured list Tuesday. He started at second base and served as the cleanup hitter, bumping Amed Rosario from the starting lineup. Aranda will likely have to continue to hit well to maintain playing time, as the Rays have a crowded infield that resulted in Rosario and Richie Palacios competing for plate appearances prior to Aranda's activation. • Nabs second steal
Meneses went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

Advice: The Nationals have been running wild in 2024 and are tied with the Reds for the major-league lead at 74 steals, and even Meneses is getting in on the action. The 32-year-old first baseman came into the season with only one stolen base in 210 MLB games, but he's now 2-for-2 in steal attempts through 38 contests this year. The rest of his profile has been a disappointment though, and he's slashing only .226/.297/.274 through 165 plate appearances with one homer, seven runs and 21 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:25 am

  • Two hits in return to majors
Vientos went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Called back up form Triple-A Syracuse earlier in the day, Vientos got the start at third base against lefty Ranger Suarez and made an immediate impact, driving home Francisco Lindor with a first-inning double. Vientos' time in the majors could last a little longer this time after he was up for about a week in late April, but the 24-year-old could still see limited action and is expected to serve mainly as a short-side platoon option at the hot corner behind Brett Baty. Through 31 games at Triple-A this year, Vientos is slashing .284/.376/.500 with six homers and 30 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:14 am

  • Nolan Schanuel homers in win over Cardinals
Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and a walk on Wednesday in a 7-2 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Schanuel got the scoring started in this one with a solo homer off Lance Lynn to lead off the bottom of the first inning. He added a base hit in the sixth and reached once more with a walk in the eighth. The 22-year-old first baseman is slashing .244/.320/.356 with four homers and 15 RBI across 155 plate appearances. • Ty France goes deep as Mariners top Royals
Ty France clubbed his fourth home run of the season on Wednesday, helping to lead the Mariners to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Royals.

Advice: France blasted his 414-foot solo shot off of Royals’ right-hander Alec Marsh in the fourth inning, increasing the M’s early advantage to 2-0. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 and is now hitting .243/.295/.368 with the aforementioned four long balls and 14 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Wednesday, 4:56 pm
