    • Two RBI, two steals in win
Langford went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two stolen bases in Thursday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Langford drove in two of the Rangers' three runs on the night with RBI singles in the first and third innings while also swiping two bags. It marked the outfielder's third game this month with two RBI and his first multi-steal effort of the campaign. Langford has now hit safely in five of his last six games, going 7-for-22 (.318) over that stretch with four RBI, three stolen bases and two runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:23 am
    • Stays at shortstop
Smith started at shortstop and went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Smith made another start at shortstop, as the Rangers are being careful with Corey Seager (hamstring). Seager had returned to action Wednesday, serving as the DH, and was originally in Thursday's starting lineup at DH before being scratched. Smith continued to be surprising contributor for the Rangers; he's 19-for-53 (.358) with six extra-base hits, two steals, four RBI and 10 runs scored over the last 15 games. • Wyatt Langford drives in pair in win over Dodgers
Wyatt Langford drove in a pair of runs to help the Rangers to a 3-1 win over the Dodgers on Thursday.

Advice: Langford singled in a run in the first to give Texas a 2-0 lead, and he extended that lead to 3-0 with another run-scoring knock in the third. The rookie outfielder’s pair of hits and RBI improve his slash to .283/.300/.317 with 19 runs driven in. There have been just enough moments like this to suggest Langford isn’t just a long-term option. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:09 pm
    • Lane Thomas tossed for arguing balls and strikes
Lane Thomas was ejected from Thursday’s game in the sixth inning for arguing a called third strike.

Advice: Thomas was tossed by Emil Jimenez from a tie game for seemingly very little reason. Nick Senzel, who was supposed to get the day off, replaced him, with Ildemaro Vargas moving from third base to the outfield. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:43 am

    • Racks up three hits in loss
Burleson went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: There wasn't much for the hitters early in this contest, but Burleson was able to account for two of the five runs on Pittsburgh starter Paul Skenes' line. Through 10 games in June, Burleson is batting .286 (12-for-42) with five extra-base hits. He continues to be consistent for the Cardinals with a .283/.314/.455 slash line, nine home runs, 24 RBI, 20 runs scored and two stolen bases over 58 contests this season. Four of his homers have come in June. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:10 am

    • On bench against lefty
Smith is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Smith has a .912 OPS through eight games in June but will take a seat Tuesday with southpaw James Paxton on the mound for Los Angeles. Davis Wendzel will receive a start at the hot corner and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 4:04 pm

    • Requires more rehab time
The Rockies elected not to activate Jones (knee/back) from the 10-day injured list Monday as previously planned, as the club determined that the outfielder needs more time in the minors to find his proper swing, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Before he was placed on the IL on April 30 with a low-back strain, Jones had gotten off to a disappointing start to the season, slashing just .170/.243/.277 with a 35.9 percent strikeout rate over 103 plate appearances. After starting up a rehab assignment in mid-May, Jones played in just three games before being shut down with a left knee injury, but he was cleared to report back to Triple-A Albuquerque on June 2. Though Jones hasn't reported any issues with his back or knee since returning to action, he's still hitting just .231 with a 36.7 percent strikeout rate in his seven games during the second rehab assignment. The Rockies likely want to see Jones find some success in the minors prior to activating him, so the 26-year-old could remain with Albuquerque through at least Thursday before the Rockies return home Friday to begin a series with the Pirates. • Homers in Sunday's win
Burleson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Burleson is up to nine homers this year, four of which he's hit over nine contests in June. He's batting .237 (9-for-38) this month, but that slight drop in hitting has yet to cost him the everyday role he earned with a strong May. The outfielder is slashing .273/.305/.448 with 24 RBI, 20 runs scored, two stolen bases and seven doubles over 203 plate appearances on the year, and he's routinely batted second in the order over the last week. • Triples, drives in two
Langford went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI during Sunday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Langford recorded his fourth multi-hit game in the last nine while collecting his fifth and sixth RBI over that same span. Langford is starting to show some positive signs after a slow start to the season, lifting his average to .234 with Sunday's effort and hitting .286 with a double and two triples over this most recent nine-game stretch.
