    • Ragans dominates TOR before leaving with cramp
Cole Ragans allowed one run on four hits over 6 2/3 innings in a win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Advice: Ragans was removed from the game in the seventh inning with a calf cramp, but he remained in the dugout and there seems to be no concern about his status going forward. The left-hander was effective on Sunday with nine strikeouts and three walks. He also posted a 28 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW thanks to a strong effort from both his four-seam and change-up. He now has a 3.44 ERA on the season and is a must-start every time out, including this weekend against the Brewers. Rotoworld Today, 8:02 pm

    • Wilyer Abreu has three hits in win over Giants
Wilyer Abreu went 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and an RBI in a win over the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Abreu had the hardest hit ball of the day with a 114.4 mph triple in the fourth inning and then also added a 95.8 mph double in the third inning. The 24-year-old is now slashing .316/.391/.526 with 12 RBI and has been one of the better hitters in fantasy baseball since becoming an everyday player in Boston. While he will likely cool down at some point, his minor league track record points to a power/speed profile that should be useful in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Today, 7:56 pm

    • Logan Webb knocked out early by Red Sox
Logan Webb allowed four runs on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Webb allowed just two extra-base hits, but the Red Sox tagged him early and often on Tuesday as Webb allowed an average exit velocity on balls in play of 99.5 mph. However, it just seems like a bad outing. He struggled to find the command of his changeup, which led to just a 13 percent whiff rate and the Red Sox hitters were able to tee off when he did land his pitches in the strike zone. We wouldn’t read too much into it and would still start Webb even in a tough matchup against the Phillies this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 7:53 pm

    • Another multi-hit game
Abreu went 3-for-4 with a walk, double, triple, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-0 win over San Francisco.

Advice: Abreu is swinging a productive bat; this was his fifth multi-hit game over the last 10 contests, during which he's 18-for-41 with nine extra-base hits, 10 RBI and eight runs scored. Much of that production has come as the cleanup batter, a spot that had been filled by Triston Casas prior to the oblique injury that landed him on the 60-day injured list. • Suffers calf cramp
Ragans left Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays due to a left calf cramp.

Advice: Ragans was removed from the game midway through the seventh inning and was later seen in the dugout after receiving minimal attention from the Royals' trainers, so his injury doesn't appear to be anything too severe. The team will likely continue to monitor his condition, but the 26-year-old lefty should be able to make his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 7:20 pm

    • Placed on injured list
The Angels placed Trout on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Advice: Trout was diagnosed with a torn meniscus Tuesday and will require surgery, so a move to the IL was expected. It's worth noting the 32-year-old superstar was placed on the 10-day IL rather than the 60-day list, which may indicate the Angels expect Trout to bounce back from his procedure relatively quickly. • Mike Trout hits IL with left knee meniscus tear
Angels placed OF Mike Trout on the 10-day injured list with a left knee meniscus tear.

Advice: Trout is slated to undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee. There isn’t a definitive timetable for his return yet, but the expectation is that he’ll return at some point later this season. It’s obviously a colossal loss for the Angels, and fantasy managers. The 32-year-old generational superstar was in the midst of an impressive renaissance campaign, posting a strong .867 OPS with a major league-leading 10 homers and six steals through 29 games. There should be some clarity on his potential return timeline at some point following the knee procedure. Rotoworld Today, 6:30 pm

    • Walker Buehler sharp in likely final rehab outing
Walker Buehler (elbow) allowed one run over five innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Buehler finished with five strikeouts, didn’t hand out a free pass, and threw 75 pitches (54 strikes). The hope for the Dodgers, and fantasy managers, is that the hard-throwing 29-year-old righty will be ready to make his season debut at some point next week, depending on how he comes out of this likely final rehab outing. • Mike Trout to undergo left knee surgery
Mike Trout will undergo surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan and Alden González.

Advice: It’s a devastating development for the Angels, and fantasy managers, as Trout was in the midst of a remarkable renaissance campaign this season with a robust .867 OPS to accompany a major league-leading 10 home runs and six steals through 29 games. Passan and González add that the procedure isn’t expected to be season-ending. However, it appears likely that Trout is going to require an extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 3:21 pm
