      Bobby Miller (shoulder) faced hitters on Tuesday in a three-inning simulated game at Dodger Stadium.

      Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters afterwards that Miller will make a minor league rehab start on Sunday for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The hard-throwing 25-year-old righty will likely require a handful of rehab outings to build up his pitch count and stamina as he works his way back from right shoulder inflammation that put him on the shelf back in mid-April. The 25-year-old will likely need to make multiple rehab starts with the team's minor-league affiliates before potentially returning to the major-league roster in early June.       Advice: Blanco is currently serving an automatic 10-game suspension for violating the league’s illegal foreign substance rules, but he’s in line for a tasty matchup in his return against the struggling Athletics.       Gray (6-2) allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.2 innings to earn the win Monday over the Orioles.

      Advice: Gray gave up a three-run blast to Gunnar Henderson in the sixth inning, but the Cardinals were able to maintain their lead after that. The long ball has become a problem for the veteran right-hander -- he's surrendered five homers while giving up 14 runs (12 earned) over his last 16.2 innings. He's still managed to win two of his three starts in that span. Gray is at a 2.87 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 59:10 K:BB through 47 innings across eight starts this season. He allowed all of eight homers in 32 starts last year, so it's worth keeping an eye on whether Gray can keep the ball down better moving forward.       Sonny Gray allowed one earned run, struck out six in 5 2/3 innings, picked up the win and appeared to ask Cardinals manager Oli Marmol to remove him from the game in the Cardinals’ 6-3 victory over the Orioles on Monday.

      Advice: We’ll have another update on Gray’s status when we know more. The win was Gray’s sixth of the season. He cruised through the first five innings. In the sixth inning, after two men reached on errors, he allowed a three-run home run to Gunnar Henderson. Four batters later, he appeared to ask out of the game and was removed for JoJo Romero, who escaped the jam. The 34-year-old right-hander is tentatively scheduled to face the Cubs at home on Saturday.
