    • Goes three innings in rehab start
Maeda (illness) allowed one run on three hits and no walks and struck out six over three innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

Advice: He threw 53 pitches in the outing. Maeda will throw a bullpen session either Tuesday or Wednesday, per Chris McCosky of The Detroit News, and a decision as to whether he'll require another rehab start hasn't yet been made. It's possible he could return from the 15-day injured list to start for the Tigers as soon as Friday versus the Blue Jays, but more should be known about his status in the coming days. • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) available off bench
Jorge Polanco, again out of the lineup with his hamstring tightness, will be available off the bench Monday, according to manager Scott Servais.

Advice: It’s his sixth straight day out of the lineup, which is a lot for “tightness.” Luis Urías continues to fill in for him, with Josh Rojas moving from third to second. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:14 pm

    • Available off bench
Mariners manager Scott Servais said that Polanco (hamstring) will be available off the bench Monday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Polanco is missing a sixth straight start Monday, but he's progressed enough with his right hamstring issue that he could enter mid-game, if needed. It would appear he'll have a shot to be back in the lineup Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:14 pm

    • Held out again Monday
Polanco (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: The Mariners have not yet made a roster move with Polanco, but he will miss a sixth straight start Monday with a right hamstring issue. Josh Rojas will handle second base while Luis Urias plays third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:09 pm

    • Impresses in no-decision
Greene did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Dodgers, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks while striking out eight over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Greene's one major mistake in Sunday's outing was surrendering a two-run homer to Andy Pages in the fourth. That was the only extra-base hit he allowed in the game. He racked up over six strikeouts for the first time since April 16 and generated 22 whiffs, with a good majority of those coming from his fastball that was averaging 98.8 MPH on the afternoon. He now owns a 2.03 ERA over his last five starts, and for the year owns a 3.22 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 66:24 K:BB in 58.2 innings. He currently lines up for a rematch with the Dodgers at home this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:42 am

    • IL decision likely imminent
Polanco (hamstring), who was out of the lineup for a fifth straight game Sunday, did some explosive running drills before the series finale against the Orioles but could still be placed on the injured list in coming days, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Despite Polanco upping his activity level Sunday, manager Scott Servais confirmed the veteran infielder is still not moving around at full speed. As such, the Mariners could make a decision on whether to place Polanco on the IL as early as Monday when the team opens a four-game series against the Yankees. Servais conceded Sunday that Polanco was feeling better and has progressed to swinging a bat without discomfort, but given the lingering nature of hamstring injuries, an IL stint might still be necessary to ensure a full recovery. • Hits homer No. 9
Paredes went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Paredes was the only source of offense for the Rays, delivering a two-run homer off Zach Pop in the top of the ninth inning. The third baseman has notched a hit in seven straight starts, batting 11-for-28 (.392) with six RBI during that stretch. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:17 pm

    • Hunter Greene looks good against LAD
Hunter Greene allowed two runs on four hits in 6 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Greene struck out eight and walked just two on the day. He also posted a 35 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW as the four-seam fastball carved up the Dodgers on Sunday. Greene also allowed just one extra-base hit, but it happened to be a home run to Andy Pages. All of that pre-season talk of Greene adding another pitch was much ado about nothing, as Greene threw just eight splitters on the day and earned one whiff, but his slider command has improved and Greene has a 3.22 ERA on the season heading into a rematch against these Dodgers next week. • Isaac Paredes homers in loss
Isaac Paredes hit a two-run home run on Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Paredes’ homer was the only sign of life for the Rays’ offense on Sunday as they were stifled by Alek Manoah for seven innings. Paredes continues to prove his doubters wrong with a .309 batting average, .916 OPS, and nine home runs on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:41 pm
