    • Smacks homer in win
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: O'Hearn had gone nine games without an extra-base hit, hitting .240 (6-for-25) with three RBI in that span. The 30-year-old broke his power drought with a third-inning homer off Mariners starter George Kirby to give the Orioles a 4-1 lead. O'Hearn is up to six homers, 15 RBI, 15 runs scored and a .288/.368/.510 slash line through 33 contests in a strong-side platoon role while seeing time at designated hitter and first base and in the corner outfield spots. • Resting against lefty
O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will take a seat for the series finale while southpaw Yusei Kikuchi takes the hill for Toronto. Adley Rutschman will get a day off behind the plate and will replace O'Hearn as Baltimore's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:07 am

    • Buoyed by progress
Casas (rib) was upbeat Tuesday when discussing the progress he's made while on rehab, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Advice: At the time of his injury, Casas was unsure how his body would respond, but he was enthused when discussing his recovery. "Everything is going well. I'm making a lot of progress," Casas said. "Starting a running progression here in the next couple of days. Should get to start throwing in two or three more days. I've already started lifting. Swinging is probably the last step, because that's a lot of rotation." Casas is currently on the 60-day injured list and isn't eligible to return until June 21. While he's been out, the Red Sox have filled first base with a rotation of players that includes Garrett Cooper, Dominic Smith and Romy Gonzalez. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:43 am
