    • Homers as part of three-hit night
Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Ohtani jumpstarted the scoring for the Dodgers with a towering 446-foot home run in the fourth inning. He later added on some insurance with an RBI double in the seventh. Ohtani continues to be one of the most ferocious hitters in all of baseball, as he leads with 61 hits, a .361 batting average and a 1.107 OPS while tied for second with 12 home runs. • Eight Ks in no-decision
Pivetta came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Rays, allowing two runs on four hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander generated an impressive 32 called or swinging strikes among his 81 pitches, but both runs off Pivetta came on solo shots by Josh Lowe and Randy Arozarena, with the latter chasing him from the game one out short of his second quality start of the season. Pivetta has served up five homers in two starts since coming off the IL, a worrisome trend, but he'll carry a 3.48 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 22:2 K:BB through 20.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in St. Louis. • Shohei Ohtani goes 3-for-5, hits 12th homer
Shohei Ohtani finished 3-for-5 with a homer and a double against the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: In what seems to be tracking as the worst year for offense in decades, Ohtani is batting .361/.427/.680 with 12 homers. He’s 69 points of OPS ahead of Marcell Ozuna, who is second in the majors in the category. Ohtani’s homer tonight was a 446-foot blast that left his bat at 113.4 mph, and his 109.4-mph single was the second hardest-hit ball of the contest. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:21 pm

    • Brent Rooker drives in A’s lone run vs. Astros
Brent Rooker went 1-for-5 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Astros.

Advice: It was an underwhelming night for Rooker and the A’s, as their offense was held to just one run on seven hits before eventually losing in the 10th inning. Rooker’s single in the eighth inning scored Abraham Toro to tie the game and eventually force extra innings, as Rooker has now hit safely in eight straight games. The veteran outfielder is slashing .435/.509/.848 this month and appears to have put his slow start to the season behind him. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:29 pm
    • Nick Pivetta bounces back with solid effort vs TB
Nick Pivetta allowed two runs on four hits in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays.

Advice: Pivetta struck out eight on the day while walking none, but he was doomed by two solo home runs. The right-hander got back on track after his rough return from the IL, posting a 29 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. His sweeper was particularly dominant, getting five whiffs on eight swings and posting a 47 percent CSW. Pivetta also threw his curveball 1.3 mph harder than usual and found some success with it, so that’s something to watch for future starts. He’ll take a 3.48 ERA into an appealing start against a reeling Cardinals offense this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:27 pm
    • J.P. Crawford (oblique) starts rehab assignment
J.P. Crawford (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Crawford was expected to kick off a rehab assignment this week as he works his way back from a right oblique strain. The hope is that he’ll be ready to return to Seattle’s lineup at some point later this week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:48 pm

    • Junior Caminero playing 2B on Tuesday at Triple-A
Rays top prospect Junior Caminero is playing second base on Tuesday for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: It’s a significant development for fantasy purposes as it could expedite Caminero’s return to the majors and open up additional avenues to get his bat in the lineup everyday. The 20-year-old, who entered Tuesday night batting .304 with six homers and one steal in 103 plate appearances over 23 contests this season for Triple-A Durham, hasn’t made an appearance at the keystone since back in 2022. It might also shed some light on Brandon Lowe’s status after he was lifted from a rehab contest earlier this week for precautionary reasons due to oblique discomfort. The Rays are currently rolling with Richie Palacios at second base in the majors right now. It feels like only a matter of time before Caminero is back in Tampa Bay. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:01 pm
    • Structural damage in shoulder
Imaging revealed structural damage in Lee's left shoulder Tuesday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lee landed on the injured list Monday due to a dislocated shoulder, though it appears he may be at risk of missing an extended period of time. The 25-year-old outfielder will receive a second opinion from Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Thursday, at which point more will be known about the duration of Lee's absence. Luis Matos has started both games in center field for the Giants since Lee went down. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:45 pm

    • Jung Hoo Lee has structural damage in shoulder
An MRI revealed structural damage in Jung Hoo Lee’s left shoulder.

Advice: It’s not good. Lee is facing an extended absence after dislocating his left shoulder over the weekend when he collided with the center-field wall at Oracle Park. The 25-year-old outfielder will visit Dr. Neil ElAttrache later this week for a second opinion to determine whether he’ll require surgery, which would most likely be season-ending. There should be an additional update on his status in the coming days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:38 pm
