    • Throws bullpen Friday
Kelly (shoulder) threw a 25-pitch bullpen session Friday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Friday's bullpen was Kelly's second this week, marking a significant advancement in his rehab from a right shoulder strain. He's been sidelined since May 6 due to the issue and will almost certainly require a rehab assignment, which could come soon. Prior to the injury, Kelly hadn't allowed a run in 11 of 12 appearances, but he owns a 4.73 ERA on the year. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

    • Returning Wednesday
Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Miller (shoulder) will return from the injured list and start Wednesday against the Rockies, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Right shoulder inflammation has kept Miller on the injured list since mid-April, but he's been playing in rehab games since May 26. The 25-year-old righty put up a 7.80 ERA and 1.80 WHIP alongside a 10:8 K:BB ratio through 15 innings in the minors, though he was able to touch 99 mph with his fastball during his last outing. He will be welcomed back to the big leagues by a Rockies offense that currently ranks 17th in the majors with a .687 OPS. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Not starting Friday
Guillorme is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Giants, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Despite the Giants sending right-hander Spencer Howard to the mound Friday, the lefty-hitting Guillorme will begin the the game in the dugout. Michael Stefanic will start at second base and bat ninth. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Clayton Kershaw to make rehab start on Wednesday
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) will make his first minor league rehab start at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday.

Advice: Kershaw made it through another simulated game without issue on Thursday, so this was seemingly the most obvious next step for him. The 36-year-old hurler is going to need several outings there to build up his stamina and is expected to be ready to join the Dodgers’ rotation at some point around the All-Star break. • Sitting again
Calhoun is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Calhoun will take a seat for a second straight game Friday, with Kevin Pillar playing left field and batting cleanup while Taylor Ward bats third and DH's. Calhoun is 10-for-30 (.333) in June with five walks and two strikeouts. Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
    • Bobby Miller to rejoin Dodgers’ rotation Wednesday
Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Friday that Bobby Miller (shoulder) will rejoin the team’s starting rotation on Wednesday against the Rockies in Colorado.

Advice: While the results weren’t there in his final rehab start on Thursday, Miller came through the game healthy and that’s all the really matters at this point. He has made just three starts at the big league level this season, posting a 5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and an 18/6 K/BB ratio over 11 2/3 innings of work. It’s unclear if the Dodgers will switch to a six-man rotation, or if James Paxton or Gavin Stone will get bumped from the rotation to accommodate Miller’s return. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

    • Jake Cave suffers injury during batting practice
Jake Cave had to be carted off the field on Friday after taking a line drive off his head during batting practice.

Advice: Cave was down on the ground for roughly 10 minutes before he was carted off the field in a scary situation pregame on Friday. He’ll head for further evaluation. Look for the Rockies to provide an update on his status as soon as one becomes available. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

    • Getting breather Friday
Velazquez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers.

    • Carted off field pregame
Cave (undisclosed) was carted off the field during the Rockies' pre-game batting practice ahead of Friday's game against Pittsburgh, Kelsey Wingert-Linch of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

Advice: While it isn't known exactly what caused the injury, Cave was stationed in right field as the Rockies' took BP and trainers were seen applying pressure to Cave's head before he was carted off the field. Cave was slated to bat eighth and play right field Friday. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago
