    • Final rehab start Wednesday
Snell (groin) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday and is expected to rejoin the Giants rotation after their road trip that ends July 7, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Snell threw three innings in a start with Sacramento on Friday, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk with six strikeouts. The 31-year-old will require one more rehab appearance before being reinstated and is on track to make a start with San Francisco prior to the All-Star break. Snell owns a 9.51 ERA across 23.2 innings with the Giants this season. Rotowire.com 8 minutes ago

    • Kyle Harrison unlikely to require rehab start
Kyle Harrison (ankle) is not expected to require a minor league rehab start before rejoining the Giants’ rotation.

Advice: Harrison threw a bullpen session without issue on Friday. He’ll repeat the process again in a few days and if all goes well it sounds like he’ll be cleared to rejoin the Giants’ rotation. The 22-year-old hurler holds a 3.96 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 68/22 K/BB ratio over 77 1/3 innings through his first 14 starts on the season. Rotoworld 8 minutes ago

    • Blake Snell to make another rehab start Wednesday
Blake Snell (groin) will make a third minor league rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday.

Advice: The 31-year-old southpaw pitched three innings in Friday’s latest rehab outing, giving up three runs on four hits and a walk while punching out six. Snell got up to 62 pitches (41 strikes) in that outing. If all goes well with Wednesday’s start, he would slot back into the Giants’ starting rotation for the following week. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago

    • Jonathan Cannon surrenders three runs in no-decision
Jonathan Cannon allowed three runs with three strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Cannon served up a solo homer to Brendan Rodgers in the second inning, then a two run shot to Nolan Jones in the fifth. He recorded the first two outs in the sixth before a base hit would end his day. He struck out three. The 23-year-old right-hander will take a 4.62 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and a 32/7 K/BB ratio across 39 innings into a matchup against the Marlins in Miami on Friday. Rotoworld 24 minutes ago

    • Cal Quantrill serves up three homers in loss to White Sox
Cal Quantrill allowed five runs with eight strikeout over 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Quantrill was cruising through four inning, allowing just two baserunners into the fifth. Things unraveled quickly. Lenyn Sosa took him deep for a two-run shot to put the White Sox on the board. Luis Robert Jr. followed with a solo homer to lead off the sixth. Then Paul Delong put Chicago ahead with a two-run blast that would knock Quantrill from the game with one out in the sixth. The 29-year-old right-hander will take a 3.78 ERA, 1.30 WHIP, and a 72/34 K/BB ratio across 95 1/3 innings into a start against the Brewers in Colorado on Thursday. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago
    • Tyler Mahle (elbow) ready for rehab assignment
Tyler Mahle (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment next week.

Advice: The 29-year-old hurler is working his way back from Tommy John surgery and will likely need at least three starts in the minor leagues before he’s an option to join the Rangers’ rotation. If all goes according to plan, Mahle could be ready to make his 2024 season debut shortly after the All-Star break. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Undergoes Tommy John surgery
Sandoval (elbow) underwent successful surgery to repair the UCL in his left elbow Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Sandoval was diagnosed with a high-grade flexor tear and a torn UCL in his left elbow after departing early from his start against the Dodgers on June 21. The left-hander is expected to miss at least one year of action due to the injury. Per Bollinger, the Angels haven't yet announced whether Sandoval had an internal brace procedure as part of his surgery. Rotowire.com Today, 12:48 pm

    • Throwing from 90 feet
Cimber (shoulder) threw from 90 feet Monday and Thursday, per MLB.com.

Advice: Cimber was placed on the injured list June 15 due to right shoulder inflammation one day after a poor outing against San Francisco , though he reportedly had been getting treatment on the shoulder prior to that appearance. The righty reliever appears to be making progress in his recovery given his recent throwing. However, it's not clear when Cimber will be ready to return to the Angels' bullpen. • Begins throwing program
Leiter (forearm) began a throwing program Friday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Manager Craig Counsell said Leiter is slated to throw again Saturday. It's unclear whether Leiter has been throwing off flat ground or a mound, but it certainly is a positive sign that the 33-year-old was able to start a throwing program just five days after landing on the IL with a strain in his right (throwing) forearm. He'll still most likely remain on the injured list for more than a minimum-length stay, but a return before the All-Star break hasn't been ruled out yet. Rotowire.com Today, 12:13 pm
