• Elly De La Cruz homers in win over Yankees
Elly De La Cruz went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 425-foot shot for his 15th home run of the season. Elly also struck out twice and is hitting just .226 over his last 40 games while posting a strikeout rate of over 31 percent; however, his athleticism and raw power are so elite that he continues to produce fantasy goodness. If he ever made the plate discipline gains to make more consistent contact, he could be the best player in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 7:31 pm

  • IKF week-to-week with right knee sprain
Isiah Kiner-Falefa is week-to-week with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider told reporters Tuesday that Kiner-Falefa is going to require more than a minimum stay on the injured list after suffering a right knee sprain. There isn’t an official timeline for his return, but the absence of any sort of clarity means he’s most likely out until after the All-Star break. Rotoworld Today, 5:35 pm

  • Bryan Woo (hamstring) resumes throwing
Bryan Woo (hamstring) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session over the weekend.

Advice: Mariners manager Scott Servais told reporters Woo will throw a more extended side session this week. The 24-year-old righty hit the injured list last week with a right hamstring strain, but the fact that he’s already throwing is a sign that he’s not going to require a lengthy absence. It’s possible he’ll make it back prior to the All-Star break, but the most likely outcome is that he’ll be ready to go shortly afterwards. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm

  • Hitting injured list
Kiner-Falefa was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a left knee sprain.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa was scratched from Monday's game with a left knee injury and an MRI revealed he's only dealing with a sprain. Still, the utility player will require an IL stint, opening up a spot on the active roster for Leo Jimenez. Kiner-Falefa is slashing .292/.338/.420 with a 13.2 percent K rate this season. • Blue Jays place Kiner-Falefa (knee) on 10-day IL
Blue Jays placed INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa on the 10-day injured list with a right knee sprain.

Advice: Falefa was scratched from Monday’s lineup due to pain in his left knee, and the Blue Jays will have the infielder miss at least a week-plus while he gets better. He underwent an MRI after the injury, and while the results haven’t been made public yet, it couldn’t have been too good of news if he’s going to miss time. Leo Jimenez has been recalled from Triple-A to replace Kiner-Falefa on the roster. Rotoworld Today, 12:21 pm

  • Goes six scoreless for sixth win
Brown (6-5) earned the win Monday against Toronto, allowing two hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The Houston right-hander continued his torrid hot streak, tossing an eighth consecutive quality start. Over those eight outings, Brown has gone 5-1 with a 1.29 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 53:14 K:BB across 49 innings. Despite sporting a 9.78 ERA after his first 23 innings, the 25-year-old has now lowered his overall ERA to 4.07 in 86.1 total innings. Brown is currently scheduled to make his next start against the Twins in Minnesota this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:21 pm

  • Isiah Kiner-Falefa undergoes MRI on knee
Isiah Kiner-Falefa said he underwent an MRI after feeling something in his left knee while stretching prior to Monday’s game.

Advice: This doesn’t sound good. Kiner-Falefa, who is putting together a terrific season as a super-utilityman, was a last-minute scratch before the game today. If he lands on the injured list, it’ll probably mean more regular playing time for Davis Schneider and a longer look for Addison Barger. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:18 pm

  • Hunter Brown goes six scoreless to defeat Jays
Hunter Brown tossed six scoreless frames, allowing only two hits, Monday as the Astros defeated the Blue Jays 3-1.

Advice: The Jays had a chance in the second, when Brown gave up a single and walked two to load the bases with one out, but Ernie Clement and Kevin Kiermaier failed to bring home any runners. Other than that, Brown kept the Toronto bats very quiet on Canada Day. He’s won five straight starts, allowing a total of one run in the process. Having a particularly great stretch of schedule has certainly helped there, but he’d probably be doing just fine against better teams, too. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:15 pm

  • Undergoes MRI on knee
Kiner-Falefa is awaiting results of an MRI on his left knee, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa was a late scratch from Monday's lineup against the Astros after feeling something in his knee while stretching pregame. Ernie Clement was in the lineup for the Blue Jays on Monday at third base, where Kiner-Falefa has been seeing most of his playing time. It's possible an update on Kiner-Falefa's status will be available later Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:11 pm
