• Rehab moves to field
Langford (hamstring) started in left field and went 1-for-3 with a run scored for Triple-A Round Rock on Saturday.

Advice: Langford, who began his rehab assignment Friday as the DH, moved to the field Saturday and played five innings. The Rangers, who have lost six straight and 12 of the last 14, could fast-track Langford's return to Tuesday, when Texas opens a two-game set against Arizona. A sign of that would be Langford starting in the outfield for a second straight day, when Round Rock finishes its series against Sugar Land on Sunday. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

  • Picks up third win
Bibee (3-1) earned the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out six.

Advice: All of the damage against Bibee came in the bottom of the third when he allowed two of the first four batters to reach before surrendering a three-run blast to Taylor Ward. However, the right-hander was able to work his way out of trouble for the rest of the night while inducing 20 swings and misses. Bibee has now logged back-to-back quality starts and has given up three runs or fewer in six of his last eight outings. Saturday also marked his first win since April 21 against the Athletics (span of six starts). Rotowire.com 12 minutes ago
  • Moves up order
Taveras batted fifth and went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and an RBI in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Taveras extended a hit streak to five games (6-for-20) with a single in the second inning. He then put the Rangers up, 3-1, doubling in a run in the top of the sixth. He slotted in at ninth in the batting order for his first 47 games played but was moved up this week -- Taveras batted seventh Thursday then fifth Friday and Saturday. Rotowire.com 21 minutes ago
  • Steps in at third
Espinal started at third base and went 1-for-3 in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Espinal was a late addition to the lineup after Jeimer Candelario (neck) was scratched. The utility infielder is getting a relevant amount of plate appearances due to injuries and a player suspension. While his .195 average isn't attractive, Espinal has hit with regularity of late, going 9-for-33 (.273) with a double, a home run, three RBI, four walks, two steals and four runs scored over the last 11 games. • Blows second save
Kopech (1-4) blew the save and took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning as the White Sox fell 5-3 to the Orioles. He struck out one.

Advice: Chicago rolled into the eighth inning with a 3-0 lead, but after Jordan Leasure served up a two-run homer to Ryan O'Hearn, Kopech got the call and threw more gas on the fire, getting taken deep himself by Anthony Santander and Jordan Westburg. Kopech has been tagged for five home runs in 23.2 innings this season, fueling a 4.18 ERA, and his issues keeping the ball in the park have followed him to the bullpen. He'll continue to get the majority of the save chances for the White Sox, but his reliability as a high-leverage reliever is still in question. Rotowire.com Today, 4:52 am

  • Doubles, scores insurance run
Hurtubise went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Hurtubise led off the bottom of the sixth inning with his first extra-base hit as a major leaguer and scored on a single one batter later. The rookie, who was recently moved to the leadoff spot against right-handers, has hit safely in three straight and scored runs in three of the last four contests. Rotowire.com Today, 4:49 am
  • Sharp in Saturday's quality start
Fedde came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Baltimore, allowing three hits and three walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: The right-hander baffled the O's over 103 pitches (64 strikes) and left the mound with the White Sox ahead 3-0, only to see Jordan Leasure and Michael Kopech serve up three homers between them in the eighth inning. Fedde has delivered three scoreless outings in his last four starts, giving him five quality starts on the season, and he sports a stunning 2.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB through 64.1 innings -- a far cry from the 5.41 ERA and 1.52 WHIP he compiled in 454.1 innings for the Nationals prior to spending 2023 in the KBO. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come on the road next weekend in Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Today, 4:47 am

  • Three hits including homer
Westburg went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: The O's did all their scoring in the eighth inning, and Westburg slugged the last of three Baltimore homers in the frame when he took Michael Kopech deep. It was the 25-year-old infielder's first multi-hit performance since May 15, snapping a 4-for-29 (.138) swoon. Despite the mini-slump, Westburg sports a .285/.342/.508 slash line on the season with eight homers, five steals, 26 runs and 31 RBI in 48 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 4:41 am
  • Kicks off rally with homer
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-3 win over the White Sox.

Advice: With the O's down 3-0 in the eighth inning, O'Hearn got the comeback started with an epic at-bat against Jordan Leasure that saw the slugger foul off five straight pitches before launching a slider over the right-field fence. OHearn remains in a strong-side platoon role -- he's gotten only eight plate appearances against LHP so far in 2024 -- but he does his job well, slashing .294/.364/.521 against lefties this season with seven homers and 18 RBI in 132 PAs.
