    • Riding pine Sunday
Fry is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Jose Ramirez will get a day out of the infield and serve as the Guardians' designated hitter, so Fry will hit the bench to accommodate him. Fry had started in each of the last three games, going 4-for-10 with two doubles and two walks to bring his OPS up to .950 on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 10:53 am

    • Records save Saturday
Neris earned a save against the Brewers on Saturday, allowing one hit and issuing one walk while striking out two batters over one scoreless inning.

Advice: Neris entered in the ninth inning with Chicago holding a two-run lead and got into a bit of hot water when two of the first three hitters he faced reach base. However, the veteran reliever bounced back to strike out the final two batters of the frame. Neris secured his 11th save of the season and recorded his third straight scoreless outing. That may have helped him steady his grip on the closer role to some extent after he blew two saves and gave up seven earned runs across 2.2 frames over three appearances between June 11 and June 17. • Kwan has two-hit game in win over Royals Saturday
Steven Kwan went 2-for-5 with a run scored against the Royals on Saturday.

Advice: Kwan had only one hit in his last three games, but bounced back with a two-hit game in Kansas City. Kwan has scored 49 runs in 55 games this year. He’s hitting .371 with a .969 OPS and 24 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:09 pm

    • Hector Neris works around jam to pick up save
Hector Neris allowed two baserunners, but was able to fire a scoreless inning while picking up a save against the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: The Hector Neris experience is often successful, but it’s always an experience. The right-hander allowed the winning run to reach the plate after giving up a hit and a walk, but he was able to strike out pinch-hitter Tyler Black and Brice Turang to keep the runners off the board and pick up his 11th save of 2024. • Sitting Saturday
Hamilton is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against San Diego, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Advice: Hamilton went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in Friday's 9-2 loss to the Padres, and he'll begin Saturday's contest in the dugout. Ceddanne Rafaela will start at shortstop and bat ninth against San Diego right-hander Michael King. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:54 am
    • David Hamilton not in Saturday’s lineup vs. Padres
David Hamilton is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Padres.

Advice: Hamilton has hit a bit of a rough patch over the last few days with just four hits in 20 at-bats over his last seven games. He does have one homer and three steals during that span. The 26-year-old speedster has been one of the more unexpected first-half breakout performers from a fantasy standpoint with five homers and 21 steals in 55 games after batting .121 in a brief 15-game cameo last year in Boston. • Sitting Saturday
Jimenez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Jimenez will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout after starting in the last two games, going 1-for-6 with one walk. It's a planned off day for Jimenez, who is still working his way back from a left hamstring strain. Gavin Sheets (heel) will serve as the designated hitter and bat in the cleanup spot against Colorado right-hander Cal Quantrill. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:16 am

    • Goes deep in loss
Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Suzuki also struck out three times in the contest, but he salvaged his night with his 10th home run of the season through 83 team games. The outfielder has played in 57 of those contests, as he missed some time with an oblique injury. If Suzuki stays healthy in the back half of the year, he could make a run at surpassing last year's career-best total of 20 home runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:13 am

    • Trio of hits in loss
Fry went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Friday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Fry is 12-for-40 (.300) over his last 12 contests, adding five doubles and two RBI in that span. That's a bit less all-around production than he was showing earlier in the campaign, but it's still a solid showing. He's now at a .316/.422/.532 slash line with eight home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored, four stolen bases and 13 doubles through 60 games. Fry has mostly seen time at designated hitter and catcher recently, but he could also be an option in right field while Will Brennan (ribs) is on the injured list. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:58 pm
