• Notches seventh save
Megill gave up a hit and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his seventh save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After blowing his first save of the season the night before, Megill bounced back and fired 11 of 14 pitches for strikes to get the job done, with five of his fastballs clocking in at 99 mph or higher. The right-hander sports a 1.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB through 13.2 innings this season, and with Devin Williams (back) just now beginning to toss a baseball, Megill figures to handle closing duties with Milwaukee for at least another couple months. • Three RBI in loss
Rengifo went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Rengifo got the Angels on the board quickly with a two-run blast off Christian Javier in the opening frame. He later plated a third run in the fourth on a base knock. He's now tallied at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, which includes 13 hits and a .371 average over his last eight games. He's regularly been hitting first or second since coming back from the injured list last week and is now slashing ,316/.366/.474 with three homers, 15 RBI, 16 runs and an 8:18 BB:K in 124 plate appearances. • Luis Rengifo hits two-run homers against Astros
Luis Rengifo had a two-run homer and an RBI single versus the Astros on Tuesday.

Advice: Rengifo definitely wasn’t Ron Washington’s favorite player at the beginning of the year, but he’s been one of the best Angels thus far, having hit .316/.366/.474 in 124 plate appearances. Statcast thinks he’s way overachieving, given that his exit velocity numbers are significantly worse than his career marks, but things will probably even out there somewhat; his .840 OPS won’t quite hold up, but his exit velocity numbers should get better. • Walks four in no-decision
Morton allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and four walks while striking out eight over five innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Morton's last two starts have been against the Cubs, and they've managed to give him some control issues -- he walked seven batters over eight innings in those games. Tuesday's road outing was better than his start last Wednesday in Atlanta, but it still doesn't inspire a ton of confidence. The veteran right-hander is now at a 3.35 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 52:21 K:BB over 51 innings through nine starts this season. Morton's next start is projected to be at home versus the Nationals. • Charlie Morton fans eight in no-decision
Charlie Morton was uninvolved in the decision against the Cubs on Tuesday after allowing two runs — one earned — in five innings against the Cubs.

Advice: Morton matched his season high with eight strikeouts. In the entire history of MLB, only Nolan Ryan (five times), Randy Johnson, Roger Clemens and Orlando Hernández have managed to strike out at least a batter an inning at age 40 or over (min. 130 innings). Morton, with 52 Ks in 51 IP to date, has a chance to join the club. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm
  • Trevor Megill rebounds with save Tuesday vs. Fish
Trevor Megill fired a scoreless ninth inning on Tuesday against the Marlins to record his seventh save of the season.

Advice: Megill got the call to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and needed just 14 pitches (11 strikes) to slam the door. It was a much-needed bounce-back after suffering his first blown save of the season during Monday’s series opener at loan Depot park. The 30-year-old righty has converted seven of his eight save chances so far filling in for an injured Devin Williams. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm
  • Hits on field, runs at 80 percent
Turner (hamstring) hit on the field and ran at 80 percent effort level Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Turner has ramped up his workouts over the last week and has not reported any soreness in his left hamstring. The Phillies have been encouraged by Turner's progress, but they insist he won't be rushed and have not offered an amendment of the shortstop's initial six-week timetable. However, Friday will be just the three-week mark of the injury, so it sure seems as though Turner is ahead of schedule. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:20 pm

  • Trea Turner (hamstring) continues progressing
Trea Turner (hamstring) progressed to on-field hitting and ran at 80 percent on Tuesday.

Advice: Turner hasn’t experienced any soreness or setbacks as he steadily ramps up baseball activities in his recovery from a left hamstring strain. The 30-year-old shortstop isn’t being intentionally rushed back, but he’s making swift progress and could return in a couple weeks, if not sooner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:15 pm

  • Idle again Tuesday
Turang is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Turang isn't starting for a second straight game, with southpaw Trevor Rogers on the bump for Tuesday's contest. Instead, Andruw Monasterio will lead off and play second base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:50 pm
