    • Heads to bench Wednesday
Santander is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Santander will get a breather after he had started each of Baltimore's last 13 games while posting an .886 OPS. The 29-year-old isn't at any risk of losing hold of an everyday role, but he'll cede his spot in the lineup Wednesday to rookie Heston Kjerstad, who has played sparingly since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on April 23. • Teoscar Hernández drives in two in victory
Teoscar Hernández finished 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI as the Dodgers topped the Diamondbacks 8-4 on Monday.

Advice: Hernández was the exit velocity champ tonight, hitting balls 110.8, 107.9 and 103.7 mph. His .263/.326/.466 line isn’t quite stellar, but with six homers, 22 RBI and three steals in 31 games, he’s definitely meeting expectations for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld Monday, 10:41 pm
    • Tee work from both sides of plate
Edman (wrist) took swings off a tee from both sides of the plate last week, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Advice: Edman had been limited to hitting only from the right side due to lingering concerns about his surgically repaired right wrist. However, he's now progressed to hitting from both sides of the dish and has done so without any soreness. Edman will continue a hitting progression as tolerated and appears far off from a return, but he's progressing. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:18 pm

    • Launches two massive homers
Alvarez went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI during Saturday's 12-4 win against the Rockies.

Advice: The Houston slugger busted out of a 5-for-25 slump Saturday with two homers that each went 461 feet. Alvarez is off to a bit of a slow start in 2024 with what would be a career-worst .867 OPS, but he's still been plenty productive with seven homers, 17 RBI and 18 runs through 27 games. • Yordan Alvarez homers twice as Astros top Rockies
Yordan Alvarez crushed a pair of home runs and drove in three as the Astros walloped the Rockies 12-4 in Mexico City on Saturday night.

Advice: The 26-year-old slugger victimized Rockies’ right-hander Cal Quantrill in the third inning, demolishing a 461-foot (108.8 mph EV) two-run shot that gave the Astros a 3-2 lead that they would never relinquish. He also tacked on a 461-foot (113.0 mph) solo shot off of Tyler Kinley in the ninth inning. Alvarez finished the night 3-for-5 and is now hitting .283/.358/.509 to go along with seven homers and 17 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 7:34 pm

    • Goes deep in victory
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in a 2-1 win over Washington.

Advice: Hernandez's second-inning solo shot put the Dodgers on the board and amounted for half of the team's total output of runs in the low-scoring win. The long ball was the slugger's sixth of the campaign and his first over his past 11 contests. Hernandez has trailed off a bit of late after a strong start to his Dodgers tenure, but he still ranks second on the team and is tied for 11th in the majors with 20 RBI. • Nabs second steal
Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Nationals.

Advice: The veteran outfielder crossed the plate multiple times for the first time in April, while the steal was his second of 2024. Hernandez got off to a quick start to his Dodgers tenure but has cooled down of late, slashing .226/.328/.321 over his last 15 games with only one homer, five RBI, seven runs and a 32.8 percent strikeout rate.
