• Tames Miami on Saturday
Blackburn (3-1) registered the win Saturday against the Marlins, yielding just one run on four hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Blackburn was perfect through the first three innings and then really got to put it on cruise control after the Athletics offense spotted him a 12-0 lead. A leadoff home run by Nick Fortes in the sixth inning represented the only scoring off Blackburn. It's a nice bounce-back performance from the veteran right-hander after he allowed 13 runs over his previous three outings. Blackburn is slated to take on the Mariners in Seattle next. • Michael King fires six scoreless in win Saturday
Michael King was outstanding in Saturday night’s victory over the Diamondbacks, scattering six hits over six innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander struck out three batters on the evening and didn’t issue a free pass. All six hits that he allowed in the ballgame were singles, and the Diamondbacks never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him. He got six swings and misses on 91 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 23 percent. For the season, he now holds a 4.29 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and a 43/21 K/BB ratio over 42 innings in his first eight appearances (seven starts). He’ll look to replicate this fine outing when he toes the slab against against the Dodgers on Friday night. Rotoworld 4 minutes ago

  • Brandon Pfaadt struggles in loss to Padres
Brandon Pfaadt struggled in a losing effort against the Padres on Saturday night, giving up five runs (three earned) on 10 hits over his six-plus innings of work.

Advice: Pfaadt struck out four batters on the evening and didn’t issue a base on balls. The Padres scratched out a run against him in the opening inning on an RBI single by Manny Machado, then tacked on two more runs in the fourth. Pfaadt returned for the seventh inning where he allowed singles to Luis Arraez and Fernando Tatis Jr. before exiting — and both of them ultimately came around to score. The 25-year-old right-hander got 11 whiffs on 89 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 25 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 4.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and a 42/6 K/BB ratio (41 innings) into Friday’s start against the Orioles in Baltimore. Rotoworld 4 minutes ago

  • Ben Lively completes six frames in win over Halos
Ben Lively allowed one run over six innings on Saturday in a win over the Angels.

Advice: Lively got plenty of run support from Cleveland’s lineup and managed to limit Los Angeles’ injury-depleted lineup to just one run on four hits and three walks over six nearly-scoreless frames. He notched five strikeouts despite generating just six swinging strikes and finishing with a lackluster 25 percent CSW. He’s allowed two earned runs or fewers, while posting at least five strikeouts, in four consecutive starts since April 17. There’s at least some streaming appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper formats. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago

  • Reid Detmers serves up three homers in loss
Reid Detmers was shelled for seven runs over 5 2/3 innings on Saturday in a loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Detmers was burned by the long ball in this one as three of the five hits he surrendered wound up leaving the ball park. Serving up solo shots to Austin Hedges and Ramón Laureano, respectively was relatively harmless, but a sixth-inning gland slam from Bo Naylor was enough to saddled him with a loss. He struck out seven and also issued four walks. He’ll bring a pedestrian 4.24 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 44/14 K/BB ratio across 40 1/3 innings (seven starts) into a home outing on Thursday against the Angels. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Sharp in win over BoSox
Lopez (3-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 3-1 victory over the Red Sox. He struck out eight.

Advice: Boston pushed across a run in the top of the first inning, but Lopez slammed the door shut after that, generating 19 swinging strikes among his 99 pitches as he tied his season high in Ks. The quality start was the third of the season for the right-hander, and Lopez will take a 4.30 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 45:8 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners. • Starting on Sunday versus Rangers
Lynch will be recalled from Triple-A Omaha to start Sunday against the Rangers, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: He's filling in for the injured Alec Marsh (elbow). Lynch has not pitched well this season at Omaha, collecting a 5.86 ERA and 22:9 K:BB over 27.2 innings. He will be pitching on three days' rest Sunday, having thrown 48 pitches over four frames Wednesday in his last start for Omaha. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
  • Strikes out eight in loss
Abbott (1-4) took the loss to the Orioles on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings. He struck out eight without issuing a walk.

Advice: He retired eight straight batters at one point while showing great depth with his breaking pitches, but Jorge Mateo and Adley Rutschman touched him up for solo shots in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, and that was enough to send Abbott to his fourth loss in five decisions. The lefty has now allowed multiple homers in three of his last four outings, but he still has a highly respectable 3.32 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in 38 innings this season. If Abbott can get the homer issue under control, he could take off, though that will be easier said than done as the weather heats up. Rotowire.com 29 minutes ago

  • Rocked for eight runs Saturday
Rogers (0-5) took a loss Saturday in Oakland, allowing eight runs on eight hits and three walks over just 2.1 innings.

Advice: Rogers gave up a couple runs in the second inning and then the wheels really came off in the third, as he was tagged for six runs during what turned out to be a 10-run inning for the Athletics. It's a disastrous performance in what should have been a favorable matchup for the left-hander. Rogers will carry a 6.15 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be against the Phillies at home.
