    • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. slugs three-run homer in victory
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer and two runs scored against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Gurriel Jr. put the Diamondbacks on the board with a sacrifice fly in the first inning to bring home the first run. He later slugged a two-run homer in the sixth to extend the lead. Gurriel Jr. then doubled in the eighth and scored on a double by Eugenio Suárez. The 30-year-old outfielder is hitting .268/.301/.430 with 12 homers and 51 RBI across 339 plate appearances. • Craig Kimbrel picks up 21st save Wednesday
Craig Kimbrel struck out two batters in a scoreless inning to earn the save against the Mariners on Wednesday.

Advice: Kimbrel was summoned to close out the game with a three-run lead in the ninth. He made quick work of the Mariners, striking out two batters in a perfect inning on 18 pitches. The 36-year-old right-hander picks up his 21st save and 437th of his career, moving him ahead of Francisco Rodríguez for fourth all time. Rotoworld Today, 9:41 pm
    • Blake Snell dominates in final rehab start
Blake Snell delivered a dominant performance in his final minor league rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, piling up nine strikeouts over five scoreless frames.

Advice: The reigning National League Cy Young award winner didn’t allow a hit in the contest, allowing just one base on balls. Snell got up to 67 pitches (46 strikes) in this one, cruising through his five innings. As long as he checks out fine physically, expect him to rejoin the Giants’ rotation next week. • Daulton Varsho with two hits, RBI for Blue Jays
Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI on Wednesday against the Astros.

Advice: The Blue Jays once again shook up their lineup and Varsho landed in the fifth spot with George Springer back to lead-off and Bo Bichette fourth. Regardless, it still could not spark their struggling offense. Varsho briefly got his average back above the Mendoza-line before it sunk back to .199. He and nearly every Blue Jays’ hitter has been a disappointment this season. Rotoworld Today, 7:13 pm

    • Aaron Judge tops vote getters in American League
Aaron Judge led all vote getters in Phase 1 of voting for the All-Star Game and was named to his sixth American League All-Star squad on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s the fourth straight year that Judge will represent the American League in the Mid-Summer Classic. Here’s who will join him in the starting lineup for the American League All-Stars (with their number of times making the All-Star team and starting in the game in parentheses): 1B: Vladimir Guerrero (4 - 3x starter), 2B: Jose Altuve (9, 6x starter), SS: Gunnar Henderson (1 - 1x starter), 3B; Jose Ramirez (6 - 3x starter), C: Adley Rutschman (2 - 1x starter), OF: Aaron Judge (6 - 6x starter), Juan Soto (4 - 1x starter), Steven Kwan (1- 1x starter) and DH: Yordan Alvarez (3 - 1x starter). • Returning to leadoff spot
Springer is batting leadoff as the designated hitter for Wednesday's game against the Astros, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Springer was moved out of his customary leadoff spot in early May and had a .188/.278/.281 slash line through 71 games this season, but his bat has come alive over the past week. The veteran outfielder is in the midst of a seven-game hit streak and has gone 12-for-24 with two doubles, four homers, 12 RBI and five runs during that span. It remains to be seen if he can translate the hot stretch into a sustained turnaround, but it was apparently enough for manager John Schneider to give Springer another opportunity atop the lineup. • Slugs seventh homer
Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, scored twice and drew a walk during the Rays' win over Kansas City on Tuesday.

Advice: Lowe's seventh-inning walk enabled him to score on an Isaac Paredes double immediately afterward, and his homer in the ninth frame gave Tampa Bay some additional insurance as the team cruised to a 5-1 victory. The 29-year-old has now hit seven home runs on the year, two of which have come in his last two games. Rotowire.com Today, 12:41 am
    • Homers twice during win
Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI during Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turner homered off Hayden Wesneski in the third inning to give Philadelphia a 3-0 lead, and then again in the fifth to put the team in front, 5-1. An RBI single in the seventh frame capped off the Phillies' scoring and gave Turner his sixth hit in the past two games. The 31-year-old shortstop is now slashing .367/.406/.667 with two homers and six RBI over his last seven games and has recorded four multi-hit performances in that span. Rotowire.com Today, 12:32 am
    • Delivers three-run homer
Springer went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Astros.

Advice: Springer tagged Spencer Arrighetti for a long ball in the third inning, extending the Blue Jays' lead to 5-0. The outfielder is riding a seven-game hit streak, swatting four homers and driving in 13 runs during that stretch. On the year, Springer has hit nine homers and swiped nine bases in 322 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:54 pm
