      Shohei Ohtani belted his 26th home run of the season on Saturday night, helping to power the Dodgers past the Giants in extra innings.

      Advice: The 29-year-old superstar victimized right-hander Spencer Howard in the third inning for his 412-foot (109.7 mph EV) solo shot that briefly gave the Dodgers a 2-1 advantage. He also drew a pair of walks and struck out twice in the contest, finishing the evening 1-for-4.       Cole Ragans allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.



      Advice: Ragans gave up six hits, walked one and struck out six. This start broke a streak of five consecutive quality starts for Ragans. He has a 3.33 ERA and 3.11 xFIP on the year. The 26-year-old left-hander is set to face the Rockies on the road next week.

      Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters after Saturday’s loss to the Blue Jays that X-rays on the injured right hand of superstar outfielder Juan Soto came back negative for any fractures.

      Advice: The 25-year-old superstar injured himself while sliding headfirst into home plate during Friday’s battle against the Jays. The team has an off-day on Monday, so it seems very likely that he’ll rest again on Sunday before hopefully being able to return to the Bombers’ lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Reds.
