    • Zach Eflin gives up three runs in defeat
      Zach Eflin dropped to 1-4 after giving up three runs in 5 2/3 innings Wednesday against the Brewers.

      Advice: Eflin struck out six and walked none. The big blow was a William Contreras two-run double on a pitch a good four inches inside with two outs in the second. Another batter likely would have fouled that one off, but Contreras is just too good. Fortunately, Eflin won’t face anyone like him with the White Sox coming to town next week.     • Falls to Milwaukee
      Eflin (1-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Brewers, allowing three runs on six hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Eflin allowed a two-run double to William Contreras in the third inning before allowing a solo homer to Willy Adames in the sixth. The 30-year-old Eflin has now been stuck with a loss in consecutive starts -- he's allowed seven earned runs over 11.2 innings in that span. Eflin's ERA is now up to 4.17 with a 1.17 WHIP and 36:4 K:BB in seven starts this year. He'll look to get back on track in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week against the White Sox.     • Dominates Atlanta
      Castillo (3-4) earned the win over Atlanta on Tuesday, tossing seven shutout innings while allowing just three hits and a walk. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Castillo was dominant once again en route to his third consecutive win. He registered 20 whiffs with 10 of those coming from his fastball and did not give up an extra-base knock. It's safe to say that Castillo is rounding back into ace form. Over his last four starts, he's posted a 1.38 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 31:4 K:BB in 26 innings while allowing a .174 opponent batting average over that span.     • Luis Castillo blanks Atlanta over seven to get win
      Luis Castillo didn’t allow a run in seven innings of work to help the Mariners to a 3-2 win over Atlanta on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Seattle pitching staff has been dominant over the past two weeks, and Castillo kept the run going. The 31-year-old ace allowed just three hits with one walk, and he struck out seven in a game where he wasn’t really challenged.       Brown didn't factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing six runs on five hits and two walks across 5.1 innings against Cleveland. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Brown gave up at least five runs for the third time in his last five starts and walked multiple batters for the fifth time this season. He was tagged for a three-run home run in the first inning by Josh Naylor and a two-run home run in the sixth by Andres Gimenez.       Hunter Brown pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing six earned runs and five hits in Tuesday’s win over the Guardians.



      Advice: It was a rough start to the night for Brown, who retired just one of the first four batters he faced. Things went from bad to worse when Josh Naylor swatted a three-run homer into left to put the Astros into an early deficit before their offense even took the field. Brown needed 26 pitches to get out of the first but would go on to allow three more runs before being pulled in the sixth after giving up a home run to Andrés Giménez and later walking Josh Naylor. It’s been a rough start to the season for Brown, who is taking a 9.78 ERA and 2.22 WHIP into next month. He’ll look to get right in his next outing which comes on Sunday against the Mariners.       Advice: Facing a White Sox offense that sports an MLB-worst .575 OPS, Eflin had a golden opportunity to pick up his second win of the season. Instead, he gave up two runs in the first five innings before surrendering a three-run homer to Martin Maldonado in the sixth that would ensure Chicago remained in the lead for the rest of the game.       Zach Eflin struggled in a losing effort against the White Sox on Friday evening, surrendering five runs (four earned) on nine hits over his six frames.

      Advice: The right-hander also issued a pair of walks while striking out four batters on the night. The White Sox scratched out single runs against him in the third and fourth innings, but the biggest blow came on an unlikely three-run blast from light-hitting backstop Martin Maldonado in the sixth. Eflin generated eight swings and misses on 90 pitches on the night, posting a strong CSW of 33 percent.       Olson (0-4) took the loss Friday against the Royals after he allowed one run on three hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: The right-hander allowed a run on two hits, a walk and a sacrifice fly during the third inning but otherwise kept Kansas City off the board. It wasn't enough to prevent Olson's fourth straight loss, however, as Detroit was shut out for the third time this season.
