      Ryan Pepiot allowed five runs on six hits in 4 2/3 innings against the Braves on Saturday.

      Advice: Pepiot allowed seven hard-hit baseballs on the day and three home runs which accounted for seven runs. The right-hander did produce a 26 percent whiff rate and 26 percent CSW which helped him strike out four. However, he also walked three in what was an uneven effort overall. His first season in Tampa has not gone as smoothly as hoped. While he has flashed upside, he also has a 4.57 ERA but he has a good chance to turn that around next week against the Pirates.       J.D. Martinez went 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI in a 5-1 win over the Padres on Saturday.

      Advice: Martinez hit his first home run 391 feet off of Jhony Brito in the fourth inning and then followed that up with a 382-foot shot in the seventh. He now has eight home runs and 26 RBI in 43 games for the Mets so far this season.       Kwan went 3-for-4 in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Blue Jays.

      Advice: The Guardians only managed eight hits in total on the day, all singles, but Kwan still kept rolling from the leadoff spot. The 26-year-old has hit safely in 10 straight games since returning from a hamstring injury, batting an incredible .500 (19-for-38) over that stretch to push his slash line on the season to .386/.447/.538 with four homers, three steals, 16 RBI and 39 runs in 42 contests.       Padres’ manager Mike Shildt said Friday that Joe Musgrove (elbow) could resume throwing soon.

      Advice: The 31-year-old hurler is dealing with elbow inflammation and soreness in his right triceps — and was given a cortisone shot and PRP injection after an MRI revealed that a bone spur was causing his issues. Shildt didn’t give any specifics regarding a specific timeline for Musgrove’s return, but if he starts throwing soon that’s at least an encouraging sign.       Padres manager Mike Shildt said Friday that Musgrove (elbow) is getting closer to picking up a ball and starting a throwing program, per MLB.com.

      Advice: Musgrove was diagnosed with a bone spur in his right elbow in early June and consequently received PRP and cortisone injections. While Shildt said Friday that the veteran pitcher could resume throwing soon, he didn't give specifics on a timeline.       Muncy (oblique) is at least a week away from swinging a bat and doesn't have a timeline for return, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Muncy's recovery from a right oblique strain has been unexpectedly slow, and he doesn't seem particularly close to returning. The 33-year-old hasn't swung a bat in a few weeks and won't be cleared for swings for at least another week, all but ruling out a June return.       Advice: Kwan collected three hits on the day against the Blue Jays, knocking singles in the third, fifth, and eighth inning. He was stranded each time as the Guardians failed to bring a run in to score against Toronto.       Seager returned to the lineup and went 0-for-3 with a walk in Friday's 3-2 loss to Seattle.

      Advice: Seager was back in the lineup as the DH after being scratched Thursday due to ongoing issues with his hamstring. The one time he did reach base Friday -- a two-out, eighth-inning walk -- he was lifted for a pinch runner. That likely means manager Bruce Bochy didn't want to risk aggravating the injury while trying to score a tying run, so the manager went with the speedier Travis Jankowski. He's 2-0 with a hold over his last three outings since coughing up three runs against the Pirates on June 8. The 26-year-old righty has not picked up a save since June 2.
