    • Michael King tagged for five runs in loss Sunday
Michael King struggled in a losing effort against the Brewers on Sunday afternoon, giving up five runs on nine hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: King helped to salvage his day, at least from a fantasy perspective, by racking up eight strikeouts and issuing just one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning, as the Brewers strung together five singles and a triple to push five runs across. He settled in nicely after that and finished his day with four scoreless frames, but it was too late at that point. King got 11 swings and misses on 97 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 31 percent. The highly inconsistent right-hander will carry a 3.75 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and a 109/38 K/BB ratio (93 2/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Red Sox in Boston. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:52 pm

    • Moved to 60-day IL
The Marlins transferred Luzardo (back) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Advice: Manager Skip Schumaker said Saturday that Luzardo would likely be out for 4-to-6 weeks as a result of his lumbar stress reaction, but his move to the 60-day IL ensures that he'll out until at least Aug. 18. He will be joined on the 60-day IL by Edward Cabrera (shoulder), and the Marlins will bring up Kyle Tyler and Kent Emanuel from Triple-A to fill their open 40-man roster spots. • Marlins transfer Jesús Luzardo to 60-day IL
Marlins transferred LHP Jesús Luzardo to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on Miami’s 40-man roster and will keep Luzardo sidelined until mid-August. The 26-year-old southpaw landed on the injured list earlier this weekend with a stress reaction in his back and is going to wind up missing at least two months now. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:12 am

    • Notches quality start Saturday
Montas allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over six innings in a no-decision against Boston on Saturday.

Advice: Montas held the Red Sox scoreless through four frames before giving up one run in each of the fifth and sixth innings. He still departed in line for the win but settled for a no-decision due to an eighth-inning Boston rally. Montas recorded his fifth quality start of the campaign and his third over his past five outings. He's registered a 4.48 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 53:27 K:BB through 66.1 innings on the season. • Tosses first career complete game
Ober (7-4) earned the win over Oakland on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out 10 batters over nine innings.

Advice: Ober was extremely efficient in the impressive outing, needing just 89 pitches to polish off the first complete game of his career. The right-hander threw 70 of those pitches for strikes and racked up a career-best 23 whiffs. Ober did give up a pair of solo homers -- just the third time through 15 starts that he's allowed multiple home runs -- but those didn't hurt much with Minnesota's offense putting up 10 runs. Ober carries a 4.50 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 83:20 K:BB over 82 innings on the campaign. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:47 pm

    • Likely out 4-to-6 weeks
Marlins manager Skip Schumaker said that Luzardo, who was placed on the 15-day injured list earlier Saturday with a lumbar stress reaction, will likely be out for 4-to-6 weeks, the Associated Press reports.

Advice: Luzardo's back issue cropped up during his previous start last Sunday in Washington, but he had been on track to start Saturday's game against the Mariners until the Marlins scratched him a day in advance. He was moved to the IL a day later, with Schumaker confirming prior to Saturday's contest that the southpaw will be sidelined through at least the All-Star break with the injury. With the Marlins shaping up as non-contenders this season, Luzardo had been a sought-after name on the trade market, but his uncertain health could limit other teams' interest leading up to the July 30 deadline. Luzardo owns a 5.00 ERA over 12 starts on the season, but he had shown improved form since late April with a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 37:12 K:BB across 46.2 innings over his last eight outings. • Montas allows two in six innings in no-decision
Frankie Montas allowed two runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Montas gave up five hits, walked one and struck out four. He was in line for the win until the Reds bullpen gave up the lead in the eighth inning. Montas has now won just one of his last 12 starts, though he was able to post his fourth quality start of the season. His ERA is now 4.48 on the year. The 31-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cardinals on the road next weekend.

    • Bailey Ober hurls complete game with 10 strikeouts
Bailey Ober threw all nine innings while allowing just two runs with 10 strikeouts in a 10-2 rout for the Twins over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Ober gave up a pair of solo homers, and outside of those roundtrippers the 28-year-old was brilliant. He didn’t walk anyone, and even with 10 strikeouts, the right-hander needed only 89 pitches for the complete game. The A’s offense is ever-so-beatable, but credit Ober for another fantastic pitching performance against Oakland. He’s lined up to face the Mariners in Seattle on Friday. • Jesús Luzardo out 4-6 weeks with back ailment
Marlins placed LHP Jesús Luzardo on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to June 19, with a lumbar stress reaction.

Advice: Luzardo finds himself on the injured list for the second time this season and the timing is tricky with the trade deadline looming large in a couple weeks. The 26-year-old southpaw is expected to be one of the most highly-coveted names at the deadline, but it’s going to take a considerable haul to pry him away from Miami since he won’t be a free agent until 2027. Marlins manager Skip Schumaker told reporters Luzardo is expected to miss at least 4-6 weeks, which puts his potential return sometime after next month’s All-Star break. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:32 am
