    • Clobbers homer
Lowe went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an RBI single during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers in 10 innings.

Advice: Lowe teed off on Dallas Keuchel Wednesday, tagging the Brewers' starter for an RBI single in the second inning before launching a two-run shot off Keuchel in the fourth. The long ball was Lowe's first in 37 games and his third of the campaign. He's batting .257 with nine runs and seven RBI over 23 games in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:10 pm
    • Picks up fourth steal
Goldschmidt went 2-for-7 with a double, a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

Advice: While far from a breakout on offense, Goldschmidt has hit safely in nine straight games. In that span, he's gone 11-for-37 (.297) with a 3:12 BB:K, two home runs and five RBI. The first baseman's power and consistency are slowly returning, but he's still striking out at a 29.5-percent rate, his worst mark since his rookie year. Goldschmidt has added a .232/.301/.364 slash line with 10 homers, 32 RBI, 38 runs scored and four steals over 76 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:10 pm
    • Connor Joe gets start in right versus righty
Connor Joe is in the Pirates lineup Wednesday for the first time in five games.

Advice: Joe was playing regularly against righties last month, but a slump changed that, and since the Pirates have been in a stretch in which they’ve faced righties in 17 of 19 games, he hasn’t had a big role. He currently has a .459 OPS in June after coming in at .853 in April and .737 in May. For the season, he has a .649 OPS against righties and an .825 OPS versus lefties. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 am

    • Nathaniel Lowe goes 0-for-4, fans three times
Nathaniel Lowe went 0-for-4 and struck out three times against the Brewers in Monday’s loss.

Advice: Lowe looked like a long-term answer at first base for the Rangers in 2022, but his power production fell off last year and has continued to decline this season, as he’s managed just two homers and three barrels through 228 plate appearances. His .351 OBP is nice, so it seems unlikely that the Rangers will try to upgrade this summer. However, if he fails to step it up, he’s going to be a non-tender candidate this winter. • Paul Goldschmidt resting versus Braves
Paul Goldschmidt is being rested Monday against the Braves.

Advice: Goldschmidt’s scheduled day off was originally set for Saturday, but it was pushed back because of Nolan Arenado’s ailments. It’s happening today anyway, even though Arenado still isn’t back. Alec Burleson is playing first base. Rotoworld Monday, 1:56 pm
    • Rare day off Monday
Goldschmidt is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Goldschmidt will take a seat for the first time since May 9 and just the third time all season. Alec Burleson will start at first base Monday while Goldschmidt receives some rest. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:56 pm
    • Losing work against right-handers
Joe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Joe is on the bench for the Pirates' third straight matchup with a right-handed starting pitcher (Carson Spiers) and looks to have faded into a short-side platoon role. Edward Olivares looks to have overtaken Joe as the Pirates' preferred option in right field versus righties. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:52 pm

    • Not starting Sunday
Joe isn't in the Pirates' lineup Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Advice: Joe will sit out a second consecutive game Sunday following an 0-for-13 stretch spanning his last four contests, prompting another start in right field for Edward Olivares. Rotowire.com Sunday, 9:00 am

    • Swipes rare bag
Lowe went 0-for-2 with two walks, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-0 win over the Royals.

Advice: The first baseman remains stuck in a 32-game power drought -- he launched his last home run May 14 -- but Lowe found a way to contribute. The steal was his second of the season, and while he did pilfer a career-high eight bags in 2021, he's managed only five stolen bases in 373 games since then. Lowe is slashing .214/.294/.262 during his homerless streak with just five doubles, nine RBI and nine runs. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:29 am
