    • Stuck with loss Saturday
Cano (2-2) allowed two runs on two hits in one-third of an inning to take the loss Saturday versus the Mariners.

Advice: Cano allowed the first two batters to reach base in the eighth inning, giving up one run in the process. Cionel Perez also allowed an inherited runner to score, and the Orioles couldn't overcome the deficit. This is the first time Cano has given up multiple earned runs in an appearance all season, and just the second time he's given up more than one run of any kind. He's now at a 2.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 18:9 K:BB while adding two saves and 10 holds over 21.1 innings. The late-inning mix in Baltimore remains in flux, and Cano isn't doing himself any favors with three runs allowed over his last 1.1 innings across three appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:19 pm
    • Notches RBI in return
Buxton went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI in Saturday's loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Buxton was activated from the injured list Saturday after missing over two weeks due to right knee inflammation. The outfielder helped Minnesota avoid being shut out, plating the team's first run in the ninth inning with a single to right field. Buxton is slashing .250/.298/.385 with a home run, 12 RBI, 13 runs and a stolen base through 104 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:19 pm
    • Ketel Marte extends hitting streak to 17 in loss
Ketel Marte smacked a run-scoring triple off of Jack Flaherty on Saturday night, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Diamondbacks to victory over the Tigers.

Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman extended his hitting streak to 17 games and broke a scoreless tie with his run-scoring triple off of the Tigers’ right-hander in the sixth inning. He then scored on an RBI single off the bat of Joc Pederson. Marte finished the night 1-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts and is now hitting .287/.333/.525 with nine homers, 25 RBI and one stolen base on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:04 pm

    • Fans career-high 14 in win
Gil (5-1) picked up the win Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and a walk over six innings in a 6-1 victory over the White Sox. He struck out 14.

Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander set a new career high in Ks -- in fact, Gil has never struck out more than nine batters in a big-league start before. He generated an incredible 22 swinging strikes among his 98 pitches, and 40 combined called/swinging strikes, as he produced his fourth straight quality start and won his fifth straight decision. Gil is having a breakout campaign, and he'll take a 2.39 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 62:27 K:BB through 49 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home next week against the Mariners. • Tommy Pham collects two hits in loss to Yankees
Tommy Pham went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Pham led off the game with a base hit off Luis Gil and came around to score on a double by Andrew Benintendi. It was the only run the White Sox could score as they were shut down through the rest of the game. Pham added a double in the second for his second hit of the game. The 36-year-old veteran outfielder is slashing .346/.386/.500 with two homers and two steals across 83 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:42 pm
    • Luis Gil fans 14 in dominant win vs. White Sox
Luis Gil allowed one run with 14 strikeouts over six innings in a win over the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Gil turned in a dominant performance after a shaky first inning. Two base hits, a double, and a walk brought a run in to score and loaded the bases before Gil struck out the final batter to end the opening frame. He allowed just two more hits across five more scoreless innings, striking out a career-high 14 batters on 22 whiffs. The 25-year-old right-hander ends the day with an impressive 2.39 ERA, 1.08 WHIP, and a 62/27 K/BB ratio across 49 innings. Gil is in line for a start against the Mariners in New York on Thursday. • Swipes two bags Friday
Pillar went 1-for-4 with a walk, a run and two stolen bases against Texas in Friday's 9-3 victory.

Advice: Pillar made the most of his two trips on base, notching a theft in the third and fifth frames. The veteran outfielder extended his hitting streak to five games, and he's been scorching hot during that stretch, going 11-for-20 with a homer, eight RBI, six runs and four stolen bases. Pillar has four career MLB campaigns with double-digit homers and steals, and he appears en route for a fifth with four long balls and six thefts in 28 contests this year. • Twins activate Byron Buxton for Saturday return
Twins activated OF Byron Buxton from the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Buxton returns to Minnesota’s lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the division-rival Guardians following a two-week absence due to right knee inflammation. The 30-year-old center fielder has managed to avoid serious injury so far, but has gotten off to an icy start at the plate, batting .250/.300/.391 with one homer and one steal in 100 plate appearances over 28 contests. • Reinstated from IL
The Twins reinstated Buxton (knee) from the injured list Saturday.

Advice: Buxton went 0-for-6 with an RBI during his two-game rehab assignment, but he has seemingly fully recovered from his right knee inflammation and will return as Minnesota's everyday center fielder. The 30-year-old was slashing .343/.410/.543 with four RBI and eight runs scored across his last 10 games before getting injured. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:19 am
