Jake Cronenworth delivers walkoff homer for Padres
Jake Cronenworth hit a walkoff homer off Joel Payamps as the Padres edged the Brewers 7-6 on Thursday.
Advice: Payamps couldn’t possibly have made a worse 3-2 pitch, and Cronenworth deposited the breaking ball 355 feet down the right field line for his 11th homer of the year. That’s one more in 74 games this season than he had in 127 games last year Cronenworth had been in a little 2-for-24 slump since his previous homer on June 11. RotoworldThursday, 11:17 pm
Nolan Jones (illness) is not in the Rockies lineup on Thursday against the Dodgers.
Advice: Jones will miss his second straight game with an illness as Sean Bouchard fills in for him in left field and bats second. Jones has looked better since coming off the IL, going 5-for-13 (.385) with one stolen base and just two strikeouts to eight walks. The plate discipline improvements are really nice to see and there might still be a buy low window here before he returns to the lineup from this bout of sickness. RotoworldThursday, 12:00 pm
Jones (illness) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Dodgers, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Advice: Jones will take a seat for the second day in a row while he recovers from an illness. Sean Bouchard will fill in for Jones in left field while batting second. Rotowire.comThursday, 9:47 am
Nolan Jones was scratched from the Rockies’ starting lineup on Wednesday night due to illness.
Advice: Fortunately, he’s not dealing with any serious ailments and should be able to return to action in a day or two. Sean Bouchard will start in his place in left field and will bat sixth for the Rockies against Bobby Miller and the Dodgers. RotoworldWednesday, 4:27 pm
Jones was scratched from the Rockies' lineup before Wednesday's game against the Dodgers due to illness, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.
Advice: Jones was reportedly feeling unwell ahead of Wednesday's contest, so he'll step out of the lineup and use the day to recover. Sean Bouchard will instead serve as Colorado's left fielder and bat sixth. Rotowire.comWednesday, 4:21 pm
Nolan Jones was scratched from the Rockies’ starting lineup on Wednesday.
Advice: No word given yet on the reason for the late scratch, but it could simply be that they wanted to get Sean Bouchard in there after he was activated from the injured list on Wednesday. Stay tuned, as the Rockies should have an update on his status shortly. RotoworldWednesday, 4:04 pm
