    • Homers, drives in two in win
Morel went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Mets.

Advice: Morel hit an RBI single in the first inning then crushed a 446-foot solo home run in the third. Morel's .209 average so far in June is actually his highest of any month this season, and the homer was his fourth in 19 June games. The 24-year-old is hitting just .202 to date but does have 14 home runs and 43 RBI over 267 at-bats in 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 6:43 pm

    • Christopher Morel wallops 446-foot homer in win
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI on Saturday, powering the Cubs to an 8-1 blowout victory over the Mets.

Advice: Morel contributed a run-scoring single as part of Chicago’s five-run opening frame against Mets starter Tylor Megill before clobbering a gargantuan 446-foot solo shot to left-center field -- his 14th round-tripper of the season -- a couple innings later. It was a much-needed tater for Morel, who hadn’t gone deep since June 11. Rotoworld Today, 2:19 pm

    • Power surge continues Friday
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Mariners.

Advice: His sixth-inning shot off George Kirby got the Marlins on the board, as De La Cruz went back-to-back with Josh Bell to tie the game and set the stage for another walk-off win. De La Cruz has gone yard three times in the last four games, and through 17 contests in June he's slashing .265/.296/.559 with five doubles, five homers and 10 RBI, albeit with a disconcerting 2:17 BB:K. • Goes yard twice in Pittsburgh
Lowe went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 10-3 win over the Pirates.

Advice: The 26-year-old outfielder touched up Luis Ortiz for both his long balls, hooking a third-inning slider out to right field for a solo shot before lofting a fastball to left-center in the sixth for a three-run blast. Lowe has five homers on the season in 27 games, with three of them coming in the last four contests. If he can stay healthy, he seems poised for a big surge heading into the All-Star break. • Bryan De La Cruz goes 3-for-4, hits 14th home run
Bryan De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a homer and a double as the Marlins edged the Mariners 3-2 on Friday.

Advice: Oddly enough, the Marlins had no one with one hit tonight; De La Cruz had three, Josh Bell and Tim Anderson had two and no one else reached via hit or walk. De La Cruz’s homer was his third in four games and 14th on the season. If he played on a better team, he’d be an easy top 30 or 40 fantasy outfielders right now. As is, he still seems like a pretty fringy mixed-league option. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:56 pm

    • Josh Lowe smacks two homers
Josh Lowe went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in a 10-3 win for the Rays over the Pirates.

Advice: Lowe took righty Luis Ortiz deep twice and vaulted the Rays to a victory in Pittsburgh. Injuries have stalled what was hoped to be a big breakout season for the young left-hander as he only just reached 100 plate appearances after this game. There’s plenty of time for his ugly slash line to improve and his 16.4% Barrel Rate is by far the best mark he’s ever shown. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:32 pm

    • Goes deep in win
De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win over St. Louis.

Advice: De La Cruz led off the contest with a 429-foot solo shot off Matthew Liberatore. The 27-year-old outfielder has gone 4-for-14 with a pair of homers in his last three games -- De La Cruz is up to 13 long balls this year, putting him well on pace to surpass his career high of 19. Overall, he's slashing .245/.296/.424 with 34 RBI and 34 runs scored across 314 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:43 pm

    • Getting day off
Vierling is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Atlanta, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Advice: Vierling had made 13 consecutive starts and the Tigers are wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, so the 27-year-old is presumably just getting some routine maintenance. With Vierling on the bench, the Tigers will open up a spot in the starting outfield for Akil Baddoo, who will man left and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:51 am

    • Breaks out of slump
Lowe went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single during Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Twins.

Advice: Lowe has been slow to reacclimate at the plate following his IL stint in late May, entering Tuesday's game 2-for-24 with 12 strikeouts since being activated June 5. However, he showed signs of life against the Twins, launching his third home run of the season and generating his third multi-hit game in 24 appearances. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 5:28 am
