    • Up to second in order
Doyle went 2-for-5 Friday against the Pirates.

Advice: Doyle has been productive across his last eight games, collecting nine hits across 32 at-bats while scoring five runs, driving in five and stealing four bases. He's also hit second in Colorado's lineup in four of the team's last six contests, and he stayed in that position even with Nolan Jones back in the lineup Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 7:13 am

    • Slugs 15th homer
Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings loss to the Phillies.

Advice: His eighth-inning shot off Matt Strahm sent the game to extras, but Baltimore came up short in the end. Santander has been on a tear in June, slashing .273/.333/.636 with six of his 15 homers on the season in 14 games on the month. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am

    • Anthony Santander smashes game-tying homer
Anthony Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run against the Phillies on Friday.

Advice: Santander’s eighth inning home run was the first Matt Strahm has allowed all season and just the first run he’s allowed at all since opening day. Then Santander put one to the warning track in the 10th inning which nearly won the game for Baltimore. Also, his first inning single was smoked 114.4 MPH - the hardest he’s ever hit a ball in his career. That’s a great sign for the power hitting switch-hitter moving forward. • Back in win column
Gil (9-1) picked up the win Friday over the Red Sox, allowing one run on four hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Gil struggled with command a bit Friday, though he'd manage to limit Boston to a lone fourth-inning run en route to his ninth win this season. The 26-year-old Gil allowed three runs in his last outing against the Dodgers, though he's now held opponents to one run or fewer in eight of his last nine starts. Gil's ERA is down to 2.03 with a 0.98 WHIP and 96:39 K:BB across 80 innings this year. He's currently slated for a road matchup with the Orioles in his next outing. • Alex Bregman smacks RBI triple in win over Tigers
Alex Bregman went 1-for-4 and smacked a run-scoring triple on Friday night as the Astros triumphed over the Tigers.

Advice: Bregman finally got the scoring started in the ballgame with his RBI triple off of Tigers’ start left-hander Tarik Skubal in the sixth inning. He then trotted home on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Yordan Alvarez. With his 1-for-4 night, the 30-year-old third baseman is now hitting .240/.303/.407 with nine homers, 33 RBI and a pair of stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm

    • Luis Gil defeats Red Sox to improve to 9-1
Luis Gil picked up his ninth victory of the season on Friday night, limiting the Red Sox to just one run on four hits over his five innings of work.

Advice: Gil racked up six strikeouts on the evening while allowing four walks. The lone tally against him in the ballgame came on a run-scoring double off the bat of Enmanuel Valdez in the fourth inning. Otherwise, he was locked in and able to make big pitches when he needed to in order to escape trouble. Gil generated 13 whiffs on 104 pitches in the contest — nine of them on his fastball — while posting a CSW of 26 percent. Now 9-1 on the year, he’ll bring an impressive 2.03 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and a 96/39 K/BB ratio (79 2/3 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Braves. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:48 pm

    • Scratched Friday
Cruz was scratched from the Pirates' lineup ahead of Friday's game versus Colorado due to left ankle soreness, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Cruz was initially slated to start at shortstop during Friday's series opener, but it will instead be Jared Triolo making his first career start at short while Cruz takes a day to recover from a tweaked ankle he suffered during Thursday's contest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:12 pm

    • Oneil Cruz (ankle) scratched from lineup on Friday
Oneil Cruz was scratched from the Pirates’ starting lineup on Friday night due to a sore ankle.

Advice: Cruz tweaked his ankle again while running the bases during Thursday’s game and just wasn’t quite ready to give it a go on Friday night. He’s considered day-to-day. Jared Triolo will start in his place at shortstop and bat eighth for the Pirates at Coors Field on Friday evening. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:08 pm

    • Returning Wednesday
Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Miller (shoulder) will return from the injured list and start Wednesday against the Rockies, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Right shoulder inflammation has kept Miller on the injured list since mid-April, but he's been playing in rehab games since May 26. The 25-year-old righty put up a 7.80 ERA and 1.80 WHIP alongside a 10:8 K:BB ratio through 15 innings in the minors, though he was able to touch 99 mph with his fastball during his last outing. He will be welcomed back to the big leagues by a Rockies offense that currently ranks 17th in the majors with a .687 OPS. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:47 pm
