Rangers GM Chris Young said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) is dealing with tendon inflammation and classified a potential return on the current road trip, which runs through Sunday in Baltimore, as "ambitious," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down for the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he returned to Texas to be evaluated further Tuesday. Young indicated the expectation is that Jung's inflammation could subside within a few days, so the third baseman's return from the injured list may not be pushed back signficantly. Advice: Helsley loaded the bases with just one out but managed to escape with a save in the 4-3 win. It was the second time this month he's allowed multiple runs in an appearance, and the third time in his last 13 outings. Despite the recent shakiness, Helsley has converted 27 consecutive save chances since blowing his first opportunity of the year. He owns a 2.83 ERA and a 42:15 K:BB through 35 innings. Advice: Peralta pitched pretty well in the outing, but he could go only five frames as a result of throwing 104 pitches. That's been a theme for the right-hander of late, as he's completed six innings in only one of his past six starts despite allowing three or fewer earned runs in five of those outings. Peralta's 4.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the campaign are on pace for his worst marks since 2019, though he's been able to rack up 112 strikeouts (fifth-most in the majors) over 87 innings.
