    • Completes seven innings in win
Rodriguez (8-2) earned the win against the Phillies on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over seven innings.

Advice: Rodriguez allowed runs on an RBI double by Alec Bohm in the first inning and a solo home run by Edmundo Sosa in the second but rebounded with five scoreless frames to earn his third consecutive win. This was the first time Rodriguez completed seven innings in a start this season, but he has pitched into the sixth in all but two of his 12 starts so far. On the year, Rodriguez now owns a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB and tentatively lines up to start next week against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:51 pm
    • Tosses bullpen session
Darvish (groin) threw a bullpen session Friday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Darvish simulated three innings in the session, tossing 60 pitches. The veteran hurler said before throwing the bullpen that he expects the session to be sufficient ramp-up to allow him to return to the Padres' rotation without a rehab assignment. Per Acee, Darvish could start a game during San Diego's homestand against Milwaukee that begins next Thursday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:09 pm

    • Grayson Rodriguez goes seven strong in win
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs with six strikeouts over seven innings in a win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Rodriguez got two quick outs to start the game, but gave up a single and a double that would bring a run in to score for the Phillies in the first. Edmundo Sosa then led off the second inning with a solo homer. Rodriguez settled in to retire ten consecutive batters until working around a single in a scoreless fifth inning. He got into trouble in the sixth with runners on second and third with two outs. Rodriguez got Sosa to strike out swinging to escape the jam, his sixth strikeout on the day. He’d toss one more scoreless frame to complete seven innings for the win. The 24-year-old right-hander will take a 3.20 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, and a 77/23 K/BB ratio across 70 1/3 innings into a start against the Astros in Houston on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:36 pm
    • Notches win Friday
Duran (2-2) allowed a walk over two scoreless innings Friday. He struck out one and earned a win over Oakland.

Advice: Duran kept the Athletics off the board in the ninth and 10th frames as the Twins eventually delivered the walk-off win. He's 2-0 with a hold over his last three outings since coughing up three runs against the Pirates on June 8. The 26-year-old righty has not picked up a save since June 2. For the season, Duran's ERA is down to 3.66 with a 17:8 K:BB and 10 saves through 19.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:57 am

    • Freddy Peralta surrenders six runs to Reds
Freddy Peralta was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the Reds on Friday.

Advice: We sure do miss the Peralta of April. He gave up 10 hits tonight, which matches his total from both his first three starts and his second three starts. In fact. he had never before surrendered 10 hits in an outing. His velocity has held steady, and he got 16 missed swings tonight, but the Brewers couldn’t pick him up in this one. He’ll take a 4-4 record and a 4.38 ERA into his next start against the Angels. Rotoworld Friday, 10:24 pm

He forced 16 whiffs Friday, marking the 12th time he's reached double digits this season. Peralta has posted a 7.90 ERA through three starts this month, bumping his season ERA up to 4.38 through 76 innings. He's now 1-4 since the start of May. • Johan Duran secures victory against Athletics
Jhoan Duran picked up his second victory of the season on Friday evening, working two scoreless innings against the Athletics.

Advice: Duran came on to work the top half of the ninth inning in a tied game and kept the A’s off the board. He then returned for the 10th inning and retired the side in order, setting the stage for Max Kepler’s heroics. On the season, he now boasts a 3.66 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and a 17/8 K/BB ratio (19 2/3 innings) to go along with a pair of victories and 10 saves in 10 opportunities. Rotoworld Friday, 8:44 pm

Advice: Sale coughed up a run before recording an out in the first inning but settled in for a strong quality start in the win. He forced 17 swinging strikes, including 12 on the slider. It was Sale's second consecutive quality start and sixth in his last seven appearances. The veteran lefty has posted a 2.60 ERA over 45 innings during that span. For the season, he owns a 2.98 ERA with a 99:13 K:BB through 13 outings. Sale's next start is lined up to be on the road against the Yankees. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:51 pm

    • Chris Sale strikes out seven in win
Chris Sale allowed two earned runs across seven innings in a 7-3 win over the Rays on Friday. He struck out seven and walked two.

Advice: Sale was his usual emotional and demonstrative self on the mound even after being handed a huge lead early and that intensity carried him to another great start. This was the fifth time in six starts Sale completed seven innings and the eighth time he’s done so already this season. He’s been one of the most valuable pitchers in baseball this season, stepping into the ace role for Atlanta without Spencer Strider. Rotoworld Friday, 7:06 pm
