      Advice: Seager was back in the lineup as the DH after being scratched Thursday due to ongoing issues with his hamstring. The one time he did reach base Friday -- a two-out, eighth-inning walk -- he was lifted for a pinch runner. That likely means manager Bruce Bochy didn't want Seager to risk aggravating his injury while trying to score a tying run, so the manager went with the speedier Travis Jankowski.       Duran (2-2) allowed a walk over two scoreless innings Friday. He struck out one and earned a win over Oakland.

      Advice: Duran kept the Athletics off the board in the ninth and 10th frames as the Twins eventually delivered the walk-off win. He's 2-0 with a hold over his last three outings since coughing up three runs against the Pirates on June 8. The 26-year-old righty has not picked up a save since June 2.       Corey Seager (hamstring) went 0-for-3 on Friday in his return to the lineup.

      Advice: Seager went 0-for-3 before being lifted for a pinch-runner in the late stages of Friday’s series opener against the Mariners. The Rangers have tried to be cautious with their 30-year-old superstar over the last few days as he attempts to play through a minor left hamstring issue.       Freddy Peralta was tagged for six runs in 5 1/3 innings by the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: We sure do miss the Peralta of April. He gave up 10 hits tonight, which matches his total from both his first three starts and his second three starts. In fact. he had never before surrendered 10 hits in an outing. His velocity has held steady, and he got 16 missed swings tonight, but the Brewers couldn’t pick him up in this one.       Jackson Chourio singled twice and knocked in two runs against the Reds on Friday.

      Advice: Chourio would surely be back in the minors at this point if he hadn’t signed a long-term deal this spring, but it’s not like he’s embarrassing himself with a .229/.280/.365 line as a 20-year-old in a season in which offense has been hard to come by.       Freddie Freeman singled in the go-ahead run in the eighth inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 win over the Royals on Friday.

      Advice: With the score tied at 3-3, Freeman drove in a run with an RBI single to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead and ultimately the victory. The 34-year-old has now driven in 42 runs, and nine of those have come in the first half of June.       Peralta (4-4) yielded six runs on 10 hits and a walk over 5.1 innings Friday, striking out six and taking a loss against the Reds.

      Advice: Peralta gave up two home runs in the loss, including a two-run shot by Jeimer Candelario in the fifth inning. He forced 16 whiffs Friday, marking the 12th time he's reached double digits this season. Peralta has posted a 7.90 ERA through three starts this month, bumping his season ERA up to 4.38 through 76 innings. He's now 1-4 since the start of May.       Alec Bohm went 3-for-5 with double and two RBI on Friday in the Phillies’ dramatic 5-3 win over the Orioles.

      Advice: Bohm’s eleventh inning double put a stamp on what was maybe the game of the year so far with the Orioles and Phillies going back and forth all night with a long rain delay in between.
