• Reinstated from IL
Junis (shoulder) was activated from the 60-day injured list Friday.

Advice: After making the Brewers' rotation to start the season, Junis only made one start before being placed on the IL with a pinched nerve in his throwing shoulder. A few weeks later, his recovery was delayed after being hit by a ball in the head during batting practice. However, after two months, Junis will finally return to Milwaukee's active roster. While he threw a four-inning simulated game this week, Junis is expected to work out of the bullpen before eventually re-entering the rotation. Bradley Blalock was optioned to Double-A Biloxi in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Padres option Adam Mazur to Triple-A El Paso
Padres optioned RHP Adam Mazur to Triple-A EL Paso.

Advice: With Yu Darvish expected to return from the injured list next week, Mazur’s time in the rotation was coming to an end, so they’ll option him out now in order to get a fresh arm in their bullpen for the weekend. The 23-year-old hurler went 0-2 with a 7.27 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and a cringe-inducing 11/16 K/BB ratio over 17 1/3 innings in his first four big-league starts. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

  • Returns to Biloxi
The Brewers optioned Blalock to Double-A Biloxi on Friday.

Advice: Blalock was called up Wednesday and fired a scoreless inning against the Padres on Thursday, but he'll head back to Double-A to make room for Jakob Junis (shoulder) on the active roster. Blalock owns a 4.24 ERA across 51 innings at Biloxi this season. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
  • Brewers activate Jakob Junis from 60-day IL
Brewers activated RHP Jakob Junis from the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The 31-year-old hurler will be active and available out of the Brewers’ bullpen for Friday night’s battle against the Padres. Junis made just one start for the Brewers this season before landing on the injured list with a right shoulder impingement. Bradley Blalock was optioned back to Triple-A in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

  • Recalled ahead of start
The Dodgers recalled Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday.

Advice: Knack was named the starter for Friday's game against the Angels after Yoshinobu Yamamoto was placed on the injured list Sunday due to a right rotator cuff strain. Over 10 appearances in the minors this season, Knack has a 3.54 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB over 48.1 innings. His last start in the majors was against the Reds on May 19, when he allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out five over 4.2 innings. To make room for Knack, the Dodgers optioned right-hander J.P. Feyereisen to Triple-A Oklahoma City. Rotowire.com 27 minutes ago

  • Strikes out eight in win
Quintana (3-5) earned the win against the Cubs on Friday, allowing one (unearned) run on four hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 6.1 innings.

Advice: Quintana allowed an unearned run in the first inning but cruised from there with plenty of run support, as the Mets scored 11 runs in the first four frames. Quintana surpassed last week's season-high six strikeouts with eight on Friday and registered his second consecutive victory. On the season, Quintana owns a 4.58 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 58:26 K:BB over 78.2 innings and tentatively lines up to face the Astros next week. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

  • Crushed for 10 runs in second loss
Imanaga (7-2) took the loss to the Mets on Friday, allowing 10 runs on 11 eleven hits and one walk with three strikeouts over three innings.

Advice: Imanaga was hit hard early and often, surrendering six runs on three home runs in the first two innings and another run in the third. He was unable to record an out in the fourth frame and was charged with three more runs, resulting in the worst outing of his major-league career. In total, Imanaga allowed 11 hard-hit balls, as the velocity on each of his pitches was at least one mph below his season averages. Imanaga's ERA rose from 1.89 to 2.96 with a 1.10 WHIP and 81:12 K:BB over 79 innings. He'll look to rebound in a tentative matchup with the Giants next week. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

  • Zac Gallen to throw another sim game on Monday
Zac Gallen (hamstring) is expected to throw around 70 pitches in another simulated game on Monday.

Advice: Assuming all goes well with that session, the expectation is that he’ll rejoin the Diamondbacks’ rotation next weekend against the Athletics. The 28-year-old hurler had posted a 3.12 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 60/15 K/BB ratio over 57 2/3 innings through his first 11 starts. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago
  • Dodgers promote Landon Knack for Friday start
Dodgers recalled RHP Landon Knack from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander will start in the opener of the team’s two-game Freeway Series against the Angels on Friday night. If he pitches well, he could stick around for a while with both Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Walker Buehler on the injured list. Knack has pitched very well in four starts for the Dodgers this season, posting a 2.61 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 16/6 K/BB ratio across 20 2/3 innings. J.P. Feyereisen was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago
