• On bench for nightcap
Schuemann is not in the starting lineup for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader with Minnesota, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

  • On bench for Game 2
Rooker is not in the starting lineup for the nightcap of Sunday's doubleheader with the Twins, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rooker will take a seat after he went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in the team's 6-2 Game 1 loss. Miguel Andujar will slot in at designated hitter while Seth Brown enters the lineup in right field and bats seventh against Minnesota. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

  • Bleday has two hits in loss Sunday
JJ Bleday went 2-for-4 with a double against the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: It was a quiet afternoon for the Athletics offense as they managed only two runs in the loss to the Twins. Bleday had two hits, though, and is now 7-for-18 (.388) over his last five games. The third-year outfielder is currently enjoying his best season with a .773 OPS. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Varsho hits grand slam for 11th home run Sunday
Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Guardians on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was Varsho’s 11th of the season. He could’ve had an even bigger game as he came up with the bases loaded again in the eighth inning, but he struck out. While he’s only hitting .220, he’s produced in the power categories with 11 home runs and 35 RBI. His .238 ISO is even higher than his .207 iSO in 2022 when he hit 27 home runs with the Diamondbacks.

  • Resting against lefty
Benintendi is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Benintendi will cede left field to Corey Julks while the Diamondbacks bring southpaw Jordan Montgomery to the hill for the series finale. Since returning from the injured list Wednesday, Benintendi has made two starts and has gone 3-for-6 with a double, two walks and a run. Rotowire.com Today, 1:31 pm
  • Fading into reserve role
Colas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Colas is on the bench for the third game in a row and looks like he'll serve as little more than a fourth or fifth outfielder for the White Sox following the recent returns of Tommy Pham and Andrew Benintendi from the injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 1:30 pm
  • Heading to bench Sunday
Sheets is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: With southpaw Jordan Montgomery on the hill for the Diamondbacks, the lefty-hitting Sheets will retreat to the bench. Korey Lee will get a day off of catching duties and will serve as Chicago's designated hitter in Sheets' stead. Though he remains the White Sox's preferred DH against right-handed pitching for now, Sheets could lose out on regular playing time during the upcoming week, when Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) will likely come off the injured list. • Drawing fourth straight start
Moore will start at second base and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Moore will pick up his fourth consecutive start in the infield since making his return from the paternity list Thursday. He'll likely serve as the Mariners' primary option at the keystone before moving into a utility role once Jorge Polanco (hamstring) is ready to come off the 10-day injured list. • Young belts first career home run against Marlins
Jacob Young went 2-for-3 with a solo home run against the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: It was Young’s first home run in his two-year career. His fantasy utility comes purely from his speed on the bases. Young has 17 steals in 60 games with the Nationals this year.
