• Takes loss Monday
Leclerc (3-3) was charged with Monday's loss. He allowed three runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one over a third of an inning in a 7-0 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Starter Michael Lorenzen pitched well enough to win -- seven shutout innings -- but he got little support from the offense or the bullpen, which ceded seven runs over the final two innings. It started with Leclerc, who has allowed runs in three consecutive appearances (five runs, four hits, three walks, three innings). The team's closer to start the season, Leclerc had shifted back to lower-leverage outings and worked his way back with a stretch of nine scoreless innings prior to this recent three-game downturn. His ERA now stands at 6.88 with a 1.71 WHIP and 15 walks over 17 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 4:21 am
  • Two straight blown saves
Ginkel allowed two runs on two hits and a walk over one inning, picking up a blown save in Monday's 6-5 win over Cincinnati.

Advice: Ginkel failed to hold an eighth-inning lead for a second consecutive appearance. He's allowed runs in three of the last four outings, all since he slid back from closer to a setup role. Rotowire.com Today, 3:36 am
  • Picks up win Monday
Leahy (1-1) struck out three over 2.2 perfect innings to earn the win Monday over Angels.

Advice: Starter Matthew Liberatore labored through 3.1 innings, while Leahy was sharp and kept the Cardinals' deficit at four runs. The team's offense made a rare explosion with eight runs in the seventh inning, and they held the lead the rest of the way to get Leahy his first big-league win. The right-hander has a 5.59 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB over 9.2 innings through five appearances as a long reliever this season. With Liberatore still not stretched out as a starter, Leahy could continue to piggyback him while Steven Matz (back) is on the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:55 pm
  • Snags win over Rangers
Gaddis (2-1) struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the win Monday over the Rangers.

Advice: It took the Guardians' offense until the eighth inning to get on the board, but they took full control after that. Gaddis took three straight blown saves to close out April, but he's rebounded with 5.2 scoreless innings to begin May. The right-hander has added eight holds, a 2.18 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 19:4 K:BB through 20.2 innings this season as a key part of the bridge to closer Emmanuel Clase. • Takes loss Monday
Webb (0-2) allowed an unearned run on one hit over 1.1 innings to take the extra-inning loss versus the Blue Jays on Monday. He did not strike out or walk a batter.

Advice: Webb was charged with an unearned run when Keegan Akin allowed the initial runner to score in the 10th inning after he relieved Webb. The 30-year-old Webb hasn't given up an earned run in 6.2 innings, posting an 8:3 K:BB while allowing two unearned runs in that span. He's at a 1.47 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 18.1 innings overall while adding two saves and three holds this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:44 pm

  • Blows save Monday
Diaz (1-2) allowed two runs on a hit, a hit batsman and two walks without striking out a batter in one-third of an inning to take the loss and a blown save Monday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Diaz loaded the bases with back-to-back one-out walks, and Kevin Newman delivered the walk-off two-run single. This was Diaz's first blown save since his season debut, but he's hardly been dominant lately, allowing seven runs with a 5:6 K:BB over his last 3.2 innings. The closer has a 6.75 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 16:12 K:BB while converting seven of nine save chances through 14.2 innings on the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:41 pm
  • Collects sixth save
Munoz earned a save against the Royals on Monday, striking out three batters in 1.1 perfect innings.

Advice: Munoz was summoned from the bullpen in the top of the eighth inning with two outs, Seattle up by two runs and the tying run at the plate. He struck out Nelson Velazquez to end the threat, then got some stress reduction when the Mariners' offense put up two runs in the bottom of the frame. From there, Munoz closed things out without incident, fanning two of the three batters he squared off against in the ninth frame. The save was his sixth of the season and first since April 30, though no other Seattle pitcher recorded a save in the meantime. Munoz has looked great since his lone blown save of the campaign April 21, tossing 9.1 scoreless frames during which he's posted a 10:1 K:BB across eight appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:24 pm
  • Stuck with loss Monday
Rogers (1-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and one walk while striking out two over one inning, taking the extra-inning loss versus the Dodgers on Monday.

Advice: Will Smith hit a two-run double off Rogers with one out in the 10th inning, and the Giants were unable to answer it in their half of the frame. Rogers remains inconsistent -- he's given up four runs (three earned) over six innings in May, but he also has a 12:1 K:BB in that span. For the season, he's at a 4.11 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 21:4 K:BB with three holds over 15.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 pm
  • Fires 5.1 scoreless frames
Soriano tossed 5.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out six batters in a no-decision against St. Louis on Monday.

Advice: Soriano allowed just two baserunners through five frames before running into trouble in the sixth, when the Cardinals loaded the bases against him with one out. The right-hander was lifted at that point, and Adam Cimber was able to come to the rescue by inducing an inning-ending double play. As such, Soriano was credited with his second scoreless outing over his past three starts, though he lost an opportunity for a victory due to a late collapse by the Angels' bullpen. Soriano has shown flashes of excellence but has been inconsistent since moving into the rotation April 10 -- in seven starts since that date, he's given up one or zero earned runs on four occasions but has yielded exactly four earned runs in each of the other three starts.
