    • Handed loss Friday
Taillon (4-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and a walk over six innings Friday, striking out five and taking a loss against Milwaukee.

Advice: Taillon worked through three shutout frames before coughing up a grand slam to Jackson Chourio in the fourth inning. Taillon is now 1-2 over his last four starts despite registering a 2.16 ERA during that stretch. He's given up three or fewer earned runs in all but one of his 13 starts this season. Taillon owns a strong 3.03 ERA with a 58:17 K:BB through 74.1 frames this season. He's projected to face the Phillies at home next week. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Triston McKenzie pulled in third against Royals
Triston McKenzie gave up five runs in 2 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Royals.

Advice: McKenzie issued the first intentional walk of his career to Bobby Witt Jr. in the third, though it was one of those in which the pitcher got to a 3-0 count and then put him on. The Royals went on to score three times afterwards, though things were probably trending in that direction anyway. McKenzie’s velocity has climbed some since the start of the year, but his results have been dreadful lately; he’s pitched just 7 2/3 innings and given up 12 earned runs and 11 walks in his last three starts. • Roughed up in loss
McKenzie (3-5) took the loss Friday in Kansas City, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks over 2.1 innings with three strikeouts.

Advice: The Cleveland right-hander closed out a tough month with this performance, failing to pitch past the third inning for the third consecutive start. Over five June starts, McKenzie posted a 9.33 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 19:15 K:BB across 18.1 innings. The 26-year-old is currently scheduled to face the White Sox at home in his next outing. • Secures save Friday
Megill tossed a perfect ninth inning to earn a save against the Cubs on Friday.

Advice: Megill threw nine of 11 pitches for strikes and quickly worked through the Cubs' 6-7-8 hitters to finish the 4-2 victory. He's converted 11 straight save chances since his last blown opportunity May 20. During that stretch, he's produced a 1.32 ERA over 13.2 frames. Megill's season ERA is down to 1.71 alongside a 30:7 K:BB. Rotowire.com 34 minutes ago

    • Trevor Megill notches 17th save versus Cubs
Trevor Megill recorded his 17th save Friday with a perfect ninth against the Cubs.

Advice: Megill has allowed just one hit in his last six appearances and one run in 12 1/3 innings this month. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Jameson Taillon delivers quality start in loss
Jameson Taillon lost to the Brewers after surrendering four runs — three earned — in six innings Friday.

Advice: Taillon managed to record a fourth straight quality start tonight, though only barely. Unfortunately, he’s won just one of those four outings and has no other victories since May 4. Still, he can’t complain overly much about being 4-4 with a 3.03 ERA when teammate Justin Steele is 0-3 with a 3.08 ERA. Rotoworld 36 minutes ago

    • Luke Raley (shoulder) remains out of lineup Friday
Luke Raley (shoulder) remains out of the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Twins.

Advice: Raley will miss his second straight game due to soreness in his shoulder. The good news, is that an MRI revealed no structural damage and the 29-year-old outfielder is expected to be available off the Mariners’ bench on Friday. He should be considered day-to-day. • On bench again
Raley (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Raley was scratched from Wednesday's game with shoulder soreness and, despite Thursday's team off day, he'll remain out of the starting nine for the series opener against Minnesota. Up to this point, all indications are that the injury isn't of concern. Dominic Canzone, Julio Rodriguez and Mitch Haniger fill the outfield Friday. Rotowire.com Today, 2:31 pm

    • Nails down 14th save
McArthur pitched a perfect ninth inning and picked up the save over the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: McArthur entered the game with a one-run lead in the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side for his 14th save of the season. The right-hander has been very reliable as of late, hurling a perfect inning in each of his last three appearances while lowering his June ERA to 2.00. On the downside, McArthur has managed just a 4:4 K:BB this month over 10 appearances (nine innings) and hasn't recorded a strikeout in either of his last two outings. Rotowire.com Today, 6:15 am
