    Jhonkensy Noel went 1-for-4 with his first major league home run on Wednesday against the Orioles.

    Advice: What a moment for Noel to send one over the fence in his first at-bat as a big leaguer. He put up 18 homers, a .578 slugging percentage, and had three batted balls over 115 MPH in 65 games at AAA this year, so power is his calling card. Josh Naylor is the Guardians’ every day first baseman, but David Fry has faltered in June and played a good bit of corner outfield and catcher along with being the Guardians’ usual DH. It was a little surprising to see Bauers start over Tyler Black today, but Pat Murphy seems to have made the right call. Bauers’ 444-foot slam was the first ever surrendered by Eovaldi.     Nolan Jones went 1-for-2 with a double on Wednesday in the Rockies’ loss to the Astros.

    Advice: It’s been a tough season for Jones on the heels of last year’s unexpected breakthrough campaign, but he’s starting to show some signs of life recently, hitting .279 (12-for-43) with one homer and one steal over his last 15 games.     Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with a run-scoring single off Rockies starter Ryan Feltner in the fourth inning before tacking on another RBI single a couple frames later to give Houston a six-run advantage at the time.
