Garver is carrying a forgettable .200 average across his 75 plate appearances in June, but an 18.7 percent walk rate and nine extra-base hits have helped him to an impressive .830 OPS in that same span.     Advice: Detroit sputtered on the mound and at the plate, but Kelly still had a solid performance. The backstop was making his first appearance in three days, pushing Jake Rogers to the bench in the process. Kelly and Rogers are splitting time behind the plate fairly evenly so far this season, though Kelly has been the better offensive option overall with a .711 OPS, compared to just .603 for Rogers.     Advice: Pages briefly climbed to the top spot on the depth chart at catcher after Ivan Herrera (back) joined Willson Contreras (forearm) on the 10-day injured list Saturday, but Contreras was activated ahead of Monday's game and will slot in behind the plate for the series opener versus Atlanta. The Cardinals could manage Contreras' workload more carefully in his first week back with the team, but Pages will likely be headed for a stark downturn in playing time in any case.     Astros general manager Dana Brown said Sunday that Caratini (hip) could be out for 3-to-4 weeks, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

    Advice: Caratini landed on the 10-day injured list Friday after sustaining a left hip flexor strain Wednesday against the White Sox. A four-week timeline would put Caratini's return after the All-Star break.
